Thomas Frank has arrived as the new head coach of Tottenham Hotspur.

Ange Postecoglou was sacked by Daniel Levy 16 days after he won the Europa League title in Bilbao. Some felt that it was a harsh decision, but many others agreed that it was the right call.

Thomas Frank was announced as the new Tottenham manager last week, and on Wednesday, the Dane’s first interview as Spurs boss was released.

What was interesting in that interview was that Frank namechecked many Tottenham players, including Dominic Solanke, Wilson Odobert and Archie Gray, among others.

But, eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice that Frank made no mention of Son Heung-min, who is still the captain of the club.

Tottenham fans think Son Heung-min is definitely leaving

Frank didn’t mention many other players either, but Spurs fans are convinced that Son is leaving because his new boss failed to name him in his interview.

Here’s how a few Tottenham fans reacted to the above…

Reacting to Frank’s first interview, one Tottenham fan wrote: “Sonny is definitely leaving.”

Another said: “Son is so gone, no mention at all.”

“Wow! No mention of Son is very telling,” said another.

Another Tottenham fan said: “Notice how, in his first interview, Thomas Frank mentions Solanke, Bentancur and Maddison as the experienced players in the squad. Nothing about the captain. I reckon Sonny’s gone.”

“No mention of Son, I suspect after the tour he will be off.. and fair enough,” tweeted another.

Three players Tottenham could sign to replace Son Heung-min

Son leaving this summer is a real possibility.

The South Korean was nowhere near his best last season, and the fact that he will turn 33 in July means he is unlikely to be able to fare much better.

TBR Football revealed that Frank is open to selling Son this summer, and if that happens, Tottenham will need a replacement.
