Tottenham get surprise boost to land prolific Bundesliga goalscorer.

Tottenham Hotspur have kicked off a potentially busy summer by announcing the signings of Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi on free transfers from Liverpool and Bournemouth, respectively. They also want to bring in Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton to further boost their defensive department.

It’s been widely known by now that the Lilywhites remain keen on adding a new winger to their squad in the form of Manchester City’s Savinho. They remain in talks with Man City for Savinho, but Tottenham also need firepower up front after last season’s struggles.

Apart from Richarlison’s 12 goals in all competitions, none of his fellow forwards managed goals in double digits. This demonstrates how the likes of Mathys Tel, Dominic Solanke and Randal Kolo Muani royally underperformed throughout the campaign, and this is a clear indication why Spurs must invest in a new No.9.

Tottenham have Borussia Dortmund marksman in their shortlist

The North Londoners reportedly hold an interest in Serhou Guirassy after another productive campaign with Borussia Dortmund. The Guinean marksman plundered 22 goals in 46 appearances in all competitions, leading the attack with aplomb for Borussia Dortmund.

The 30-year-old has consistently been among the top three goalscorers in the Bundesliga for the past three campaigns, which is why he is such a coveted commodity heading into the summer transfer window. Now, Spurs have been handed a significant boost in the race for Serhou Guirassy.

Speaking exclusively to Sky Sports journalist Patrick Berger, Karamba Guirassy, brother and agent of Serhou, has completely dismissed reports of an impending move to Turkish side Fenerbahce.

“To clarify: no agreement of any kind has been reached,” Karamba Guirassy said.

“Serhou is currently evaluating his options for next season. Any claim of a verbal deal is simply not true.”

Spurs get surprise boost in pursuit of Serhou Guirassy

Patrick Berger also revealed that Tottenham and Fenerbahce aren’t the only clubs interested in signing the Dortmund star. AC Milan, Aston Villa and Atlético Madrid have the African striker in their shortlist. While a departure from Dortmund remains a realistic possibility this summer, absolutely no final decision has been made regarding his next destination.

This keeps the door wide open for Tottenham to pursue Guirassy, who has proven himself as a prolific goalscorer in the Bundesliga with 81 strikes in 134 appearances. The Guinean international would add spark to Tottenham’s attack with his pressing, physicality and aerial prowess. He’d also bring much-needed top-level experience and leadership qualities required to help Spurs compete for European spots under De Zerbi.

Welcoming the Dortmund striker, who can score all kinds of goals, would hand De Zerbi an instant, more robust upgrade on Richarlison this summer, both in terms of goalscoring and injury record. All in all, the Lilywhites must now go all out to sign Guirassy to enhance their strike force ahead of the 2026/27 season.
