Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario 'totally open' to leaving club, Barcelona target ambitious Erling Haaland deal - Euro Transfer News
In Thursday's Euro Transfer News, Guglielmo Vicario is "totally open" to leaving Tottenham Hotspur this summer as he targets a return back to Italy. Vicario 'totally open' to Spurs departure
Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario is open to joining Inter Milan, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer guru suggests his compatriot is "fully open" to joining the Serie A side this summer, and apparently the keeper ranks high on Inter's list.
Yann Sommer is expected to leave San Siro at the end of his contract in June, and Vicario has been close to joining Inter before, when he left Empoli to join Spurs.
"Vicario is right at the top of Inter’s list. It’s definitely not a done deal," Romano explained.
"There’s work to be done and we’ll have to wait and see what Inter do in terms of their search for a new goalkeeper because they will sign a goalkeeper.
"As we’ve been saying for months, though. Vicario is high on their list but let’s see who they go for. What I can say, though, is from Vicario’s point of view he is totally open to Inter.
"He’d go there happily. He was close to joining them when Inter sold [Andre] Onana to United but they weren’t able to secure Vicario due to timings.
"Now he’s keen to return to Serie A and would be totally open to the Inter project. Now it’s up to Inter."
Barca candidate reveals ambitious plan for Haaland
Barcelona presidential candidate Marc Ciria has said that if Barcelona want to see an ambitious plan to sign Manchester City striker Erling Haaland through to fruition, they need to reunite with Lionel Messi.
The candidate told Spanish radio station Cadena SER: We know that Messi's future is linked to Barcelona. To sign Haaland, we must bring Messi back as a strategic partner."
A presidential election for Barcelona is on the horizon and Ciria is one of four candidates, which includes current president Joan Laporta.
The likelihood of tempting the Norwegian away from the Etihad is low after he recently signed an extension through to 2034, and Messi also inked a new deal at Miami until 2028.
Vlahovic hoping for Barcelona switch
Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic is aiming a move to Barcelona summer, when his contract at the Serie A club expires.
Spanish publication Sport are reporting that the Serbian has set his sights on Barca as his next destination.
The 26-year-old is out of contract with the Italian giants this summer and no progress has been made with Juventus over talks.
Barcelona have an eye on replacing Robert Lewandowski, who turns 38 this August, but it is not clear how much the club will be willing to spend on wages to fill the forward position.
Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez has been positioned as their preferred option, but a deal for the Argentinian may prove difficult to put together.
Goretzka prioritising Arsenal move in summer
Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka is reportedly prioritising a switch to Arsenal, with several clubs in Europe being interested.
Bild notes that Bayer Leverkusen have joined the race for the 31-year-old and have contacted his representatives over a potential move.
