Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a fresh proposal for Liverpool star Cody Gakpo as they look to strike a deal with the Reds.

Spurs remain heavily focused on reshaping their attacking options before the window closes, with substantial spending lined up to make it happen.

The Lilywhites are currently closing in on Savinho in an £85m package with Manchester City, with their long-standing admiration for the winger now seemingly translating into a deal.

Tottenham are also pursuing another attacking option from the Etihad in Omar Marmoush, with an agreement potentially edging closer there as well.

Even with those two arrivals now in sight, Spurs’ plans for another attacker have not diminished, with their pursuit of Gakpo continuing in parallel, with Roberto De Zerbi clear he wants all three.

Gakpo is receptive to the prospect of moving to north London this summer, while Tottenham have already seen an initial proposal knocked back by Liverpool.

Now according to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, ‘soon a new offer’ will be sent from Tottenham to Liverpool to try to land the Dutchman.

The financial details of the proposal, and whether it will be sufficient to prise the Dutchman away from Anfield, remain unclear, although a development could emerge very soon.

Meanwhile, the Reds continue to work towards a deal for Bradley Barcola, having been pursuing the winger as a marquee signing for the past few weeks, though they are yet to reach an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain.

There have been suggestions that Barcola’s arrival at Anfield could become a realistic possibility, offering Liverpool renewed encouragement.

Should that move materialise swiftly, Gakpo’s departure for N17 could also gather pace, with Spurs continuing to seek alignment on a deal.

Liverpool would likely want to sell Gakpo to help cover the cost of signing Barcola and his club team-mate Ibrahim Mbaye.
