Tottenham have reportedly already initiated discussions with Adi Hutter about potentially becoming their next manager, as per French media reports. Igor Tudor's role at the club seems precarious, having secured just one victory since his appointment.

The Lilywhites' 3-0 drubbing by Nottingham Forest has once again cast a spotlight on Tudor's future following an encouraging triumph over Atletico Madrid. Spurs currently occupy 17th place in the Premier League and are merely one point ahead of rivals West Ham in the drop zone.

Following the loss to Forest, Tudor was informed that his father, Mario, had passed away. Bruno Saltor, the Croatian's deputy, assumed his press responsibilities.

Tottenham will be mindful of his circumstances, but it is understood there is an increasing sentiment that a mutual agreement regarding departure is now the most probable outcome. The 47-year-old would then be able to concentrate on personal matters, while Spurs shift their focus to the immense pressures of a relegation scrap.

L'Equipe notes that Hutter has been approached and negotiations with the former Monaco manager are in progress. The Austrian was at the helm of the Ligue 1 club from 2023 until he was dismissed late last year.

No deal has been sealed for the 56-year-old, who also lacks Premier League experience. However, Hutter is not the only one being associated with the position.

Roberto De Zerbi has been rumoured for a switch to north London, while Marco Rose or Edin Terzic could potentially be reconsidered after being previously considered before Tudor's appointment.

Former manager Mauricio Pochettino has also been suggested, but the ex-Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain coach is unlikely to be immediately available. The Argentine is currently managing the United States until after the World Cup.

However, Pochettino has recently expressed his fondness for the Premier League. "I miss the football scene in England. I love the country, its culture, the football culture," Pochettino told L'Equipe.

"For anyone with a competitive spirit who wants to measure themselves against others and test their limits, it's the ideal place. Here, you have to give your best constantly."

Tottenham do not return to action until April 12 when they travel to the Stadium of Light to face Sunderland. They have not savoured victory in the Premier League this year and last triumphed over Crystal Palace in December.
