Tottenham Hotspur Are In The Mix To Recruit This Man United Striker: Should De Zerbi Go For Him?

In a recent report, Asromalive.it mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur are in the mix to recruit Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford this summer. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils would have to compete with AS Roma, Napoli, Barcelona, Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, Aston Villa and Newcastle United in the race to sign the English forward this off-season.

Rashford’s Impressive Loan Spell At Barcelona Last Season

Rashford enjoyed a decent loan spell at Barcelona in the previous campaign when he put in a series of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 28-year-old scored 14 times and secured 14 assists in 49 matches for the Catalan club last season on all fronts.

The English talent is currently on the fringes of Man United’s squad following his loan spell at Barcelona. Thus, Spurs would be wise to move in for him this off-season.

His current contract at the Mancunian club will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Tottenham to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Roberto De Zerbi Go For Rashford?

Rashford is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the vision to create a few promising chances for his teammates in the final third. He can strike the ball with power from long range and can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top.

The English sensation mainly operates as a left-winger but can also play as a centre-forward or as a right-sided wide player if asked to do so. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the North London club if they manage to bring him on board this summer.

We can expect Rashford to add more firepower to Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi’s attack. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season.

At 28, Rashford is about to enter his prime, which makes him a good option for Spurs to pursue in this transfer window. All in all, De Zerbi would be wise to go for someone with Rashford’s skill set this summer as long as he can get him for a reasonable fee.
