Wolves fans still haven’t heard from Nelson Semedo whether he will be signing a contract extension or moving on.
Nelson Semedo is now a free agent after his deal expired at the end of June.
But Semedo has a four-year offer on the table from Wolves, which has been there since the end of the 2024/25 season.
But Wolves feel Semedo is now more likely to move on this summer than sign that deal, believing a move to an overseas club is more likely.
Amid the uncertainty, Wolves have been looking at potential replacements.
Jeremy Toljan is thought to be of interest to Wolves, after running down his contract at Sassuolo.
Wolves have also been linked with Jackson Tchatchoua of Hellas Verona.
But another player Wolves have looked at is Kyle Walker-Peters – and there could be good news for Vitor Pereira.

Tottenham Hotspur won’t go for Kyle Walker-Peters
Like Semedo, Walker-Peters is currently a free agent after leaving Southampton.
The 28-year-old brought his five-year spell to an end, and it remains to be seen where he will go next. He has not been short of suitors.
Wolves have been in the mix to sign Walker-Peters.
But so have Tottenham Hotspur, and their interest in the player had been fairly strong.
But the Telegraph reported yesterday that Spurs are now not expected to pursue a deal for their former player, after internal discussions.
Spurs, of course, recently hired a new manager in Thomas Frank.
So perhaps he has a different target in mind.
Potential boost for Wolves over Walker-Peters
This may be good news for Wolves, given the likelihood that Semedo moves on.
That said, Semedo still hasn’t given a definitive answer – and Wolves really need to get one from him rapidly. Especially with this development with Walker-Peters.
That said, there are still other clubs who want to sign Walker-Peters. So there’s still work to be done.
But Spurs leaving the race has to be a good thing, and the coming days could well be interesting – especially if Semedo’s decision arrives soon.
