With the soccer world having been focused on the 2026 FIFA World Cup for the past couple of weeks, the usual monsoon of European club kit unveilings has slowed to a trickle. But teams in Europe’s top domestic football league have still tried to cut through the World Cup hype by rolling out a few new jerseys over that time. Here’s a look at the new launches:
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR – Home and Away
English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur aim to “signal the start of a new era built on reconnection” with their Nike home and away kits for 2026-27. The home kit is the club’s traditional white, but with diagonal lines woven into the fabric and curving navy blue side panels. The away kit, meanwhile, has a navy blue base and a print of metallic-looking purple and orange diagonal diamonds.
SUNDERLAND AFC – Away
Fellow Premier League side Sunderland AFC’s new away kit, made by Hummel, is a collaboration with the Elvis Presley Estate and a tribute to their fans who belt out “Can’t Help Falling in Love” before every match. The pink base and black shoulders are a nod to the suit Elvis wore in a breakout performance on the Milton Berle Show in 1956. The club crest and Hummel logo on the chest are embroidered in pink to blend in with the rest of the shirt, and a tonal pattern of hypocycloids woven into the shirt includes the initials “SAFC”.
NEWCASTLE UNITED – Home
English club Newcastle United take their usual black-and-white vertical stripes in a decidedly different direction with their 2026-27 home kit, made by adidas. The “bold, disrupted” pattern includes stripes in a dizzying array of widths across the front and sleeves. The adidas shoulder stripes are light blue, as is the trim on the crew neck collar and sleeve cuffs, and a magpie sits at the top of the white panel on the back for names and numbers.
HULL CITY – Home
Back in the Premier League for the first time since 2016-17, Hull City bring something old and something new to the table with their 2026-27 home kit. It’s the first Premier League kit made by manufacturer Oxen Sports, but it draws on Hull City kits from the late 1970s for inspiration. The broad orange and black vertical stripes are set off by the white polo collar and sleeve cuffs. Instead of the club crest, an “HCAFC” monogram is embroidered on the left chest.
LEEDS UNITED – Away
English side Leeds United are getting their flowers with their 2026-27 away kit, made by adidas. The bright yellow base of the kit is embossed with a pattern of ornate Yorkshire roses. The kit also brings back the club’s white rose crest, which hasn’t been used on a Leeds United shirt since 1998-99. The shoulder stripes and adidas trefoil logo on the chest are navy blue, while the V-neck collar and sleeve cuffs are navy blue with white trim.
🇪🇸 VILLARREAL CF – Home
Since they’re known as the Yellow Submarine, maybe it’s fitting that the details on Spanish La Liga side Villarreal CF’s 2026-27 home kit, made by Joma, are inspired by the movement of water. The yellow base of the kit has a pattern woven into it that “reinforces the idea of flow and gives the garment a distinctive identity.” Navy blue panels run under the arms and down the sides, and tapering navy blue stripes sit on the collarbones. The collar and sleeve cuffs are navy blue with yellow edging.
🇪🇸 VALENCIA CF – Home
This coming season will be the last for La Liga side Valencia CF in their Mestalla Stadium, so they’re sending it out with a bang with their 2026-27 home kit, made by Puma. The traditional white base is complimented by “Torino Red” striping in the collar and sleeve cuffs, that colour being the most frequently used alternative colour in the club’s history. The club crest features a new textured finish “that recreates the silhouette and movement of the bat’s wings, a symbol of both the club and the city.”
🇪🇸 ATHLETIC BILBAO – Away
Spanish side Athletic Bilbao brings it back to where it all began with their 2026-27 away kit, made by Castore. The solid black kit has a red collar and sleeve cuffs with white piping, and the club crest sits in the middle of the chest. “Through this kit, Athletic Club aims to highlight the importance of the places that formed the starting point for the club’s players,” the club said in its announcement. “Because it is not just about places, but a feeling that unites generations.”
🇩🇪 EINTRACHT FRANKFURT – Home
Like Newcastle United, German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt aren’t going with traditional stripes on their 2026-27 home kits, also made by adidas. The red stripes down the front vary in width and tone “to create a dynamic visual effect that conveys movement, energy and passion, even evoking the elegance of a pinstripe pattern in places.” The stripes then run horizontally around the sleeves, below the white adidas shoulder stripes.
🇩🇪 1. FC UNION BERLIN – Home
The devil’s in the details of fellow German side Union Berlin’s 2026-27 home kits, made by adidas. The kit might look solid red at first glance, but on closer inspection, an embossed pattern emerges detailing the distinctive roof of the club’s home ground, Stadion An der Alten Försterei. The shoulder stripes are white, and the V-neck collar and sleeve cuffs are red with white trim.
🇫🇷 OLYMPIQUE LYONNAIS – Home
French Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnaise pay homage to their city by working Lyon’s coat of arms into their 2026-27 home kit, made by adidas. The silhouette of the coat of arms breaks up the blue and red vertical stripes down the front of the shirt, with the castle turrets and the bottom of the shield visible; tonal coats of arms are also visible inside the stripes. The new kit also brings back blue sleeves, which OL hasn’t worn since the 1990s, with red adidas shoulder stripes laid on top.
🇫🇷 RC LENS – Away
Ligue 1’s RC Lens continues to celebrate their home region’s coal mining heritage with their 2026-27 away kit, made by adidas. The black kit is covered in a pattern of chevrons with subtle gradients inside that is inspired by “the slag heaps that shape the Lens landscape.” Green trim on the collar, sleeve cuffs and shoulder stripes reference the club’s original colours.
🇫🇷 AS MONACO – Home
Ligue 1 side AS Monaco balance elegance and modernity in their 2026-27 home kits, made by Mizuno. It retains the traditional 55-degree diagonal split between red and white on the front, an element first designed by Princess Grace of Monaco in 1960. But it also works in a tonal pattern of parallelograms in the red portion, as well as a crown woven right into the fabric of the red polo collar. On the back collar is a depiction of the famous nine arches of Stade Louis-II.
🇮🇹 PARMA CALCIO 1913 – Home
It’s a look that has served them well for the better part of more than a century, so Italian Serie A side Parma Calcio 1913 have stuck with tradition for their 2026-27 home kit, made by Puma. The warm white base of the kit is the canvas for Parma’s traditional black cross, which this year has thin outlines in the club’s other colours of yellow and blue. The club crest sits in the middle of the chest, inside the cross. The V-neck collar is black, while the sleeve cuffs are blue with a yellow stripe in the middle.
