In a recent interview with talkSPORT, journalist Ben Jacobs revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have identified Manchester City winger Savinho as their main target for this transfer window. Jacobs said,

“Their primary focus is Savinho.

“Let’s see whether the Man City board choose to sanction that deal or not.”

Savinho’s Lack Of Game Time In English Football

Savinho struggled to earn a regular first-team spot in Man City’s first team in the previous campaign, but managed to catch the eye at times for them in the final third. The 22-year-old found the back of the net four times and earned three assists in 36 matches for the Mancunian club last season on all fronts.

The Brazilian talent is currently one of the most talented wide players in the Premier League. Hence, Spurs would do well to bring him on board in this transfer period.

His current contract at the Etihad Stadium will run out in the summer of 2031, which could make it difficult for Tottenham to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Will Savinho Be A Good Option For Tottenham Hotspur Boss Roberto De Zerbi?

Savinho is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates to find the back of the net. He has got the pace to cause some headaches for his marker out in the wide positions.

The Brazilian sensation can shoot the ball with power from long range. Savinho is primarily a left-winger but can also operate as a right-winger if asked to do so. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the North London club if they manage to snap him up in this transfer period.

We can expect Savinho to bring more quality and depth to Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi’s first XI. He is capable of competing for a regular first-team spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season.

At 22, Savinho has got the potential to be a future star in English football as long as he continues to improve with each year. Hence, he would be a great option for Spurs to pursue in the long run.
