Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs monitoring Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo ahead of the January transfer window, according to Sky Sports.

Spurs wanted to bring the 25-year-old Ghana international to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club in the summer but signed his countryman Mohamed Kudus instead.

Semenyo has since signed a new five-year deal with the Cherries, but the North London club are looking to sign another forward in January and have him on their radar.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank wants a left attacker, and the versatile Bournemouth star fits the bill.

Semenyo ended last season with 13 goals and seven assists in 42 appearances and has continued his form this term, with six and three assists to his name in 11 Premier League games so far this season.

The Ghanaian ended 2023-24 with eight goals and three in 33 league games and has proven himself in the English top-flight.

Spurs could do with such a player in their attack but they are not the only ones keen on recruiting his services, with Liverpool and Manchester City also monitoring his situation.

He is expected to leave the Cherries soon but luring him away halfway through the season could prove tricky as the club have also started 2025-26 on a solid note under manager Andoni Iraola.

Tottenham and other suitors may need to wait until the summer to have a realistic chance of signing him.

However, nothing can be ruled out as Ghana’s failure to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations – holding from December to January 2026 – makes Semenyo more attractive to Spurs and others.

The Lilywhites are aiming for a top-five finish in the Premier League and are eyeing another major silverware this term after winning the Europa League last season.

They will need to strengthen their squad to boost their chances, and signing someone like Semenyo will come in handy.
