Tottenham Hotspur proudly supported a session for people with additional needs in Seoul today as part of our traditional engagement with charitable organisations on overseas tours.
The session was organised by Best Buddies, one of the world’s largest organisations dedicated to integrating people with additional needs into society, both in their personal and professional lives. The charity provides resources to families raising someone with an intellectual or developmental disability, offers workplace support and provides friendship and leadership development programmes.

Club Ambassador Ledley King helped lead a series of physical activities for 50 young people involved with the charity. Music and light sporting activities were organised for the group to help build their confidence to take on new challenges in their lives, supporting their integration into overall society.
Ledley also spoke to representatives from the charity in order to learn more about its work both in Korea and globally.
Ledley said: “I really enjoyed meeting with Best Buddies today and having the opportunity to represent the Club at their session. Supporting charities at places we visit is an important part of our activity on pre-season tours and in my role as Club Ambassador being able to meet different communities of people is always such a pleasure.”
Hui (Sanghui) Park, programme leader at Best Buddies, said: “It was such a special opportunity for the group to meet a Tottenham Hotspur legend, and someone who has played at the top level of sport, like Ledley King. It is something I am sure they will remember for years to come. Best Buddies is all about becoming friends with our participants and we are very grateful for Tottenham Hotspur’s support in sharing our mission to new audiences.”
Our support of Best Buddies is an extension of the existing work the Club delivers to promote inclusivity for people with disabilities. The Club has diversity, equity and inclusion at its core, having achieved Advanced level in the PLEDIS (Premier League Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Standard).
Our Foundation delivers a range of programmes aimed at increasing sport participation, physical activity and employability amongst local residents living with disabilities within our local community.
