Tottenham Hotspur will travel to Anfield for their Carabao Cup clash with Liverpool, with the fixture taking place on Tuesday, September 15.
The match, which will kick off at 8pm BST, has been brought forward from its originally scheduled date of Wednesday, September 16.
Ahead of the game, Richarlison has approached FIFA in an attempt to terminate his Tottenham contract, according to talkSPORT.
The Brazilian believes he has a case to end the final year of his deal after being left out of Spurs’ 25-man Premier League squad. He is now in talks with Vasco da Gama over a return to Brazil.
The 29-year-old was heavily linked with Everton before the summer window closed but rejected the chance to reunite with David Moyes. He later described Everton as his “favourite team” while criticising Tottenham’s handling of the negotiations.
Richarlison’s exclusion from Spurs’ Premier League squad has now prompted him to seek a swift exit. He would not be the first player to take his case to FIFA after being left out by his club, with compatriot Renan Lodi doing so last year at Al Hilal.
He sought FIFA intervention to terminate his contract and join Brazilian side Atletico Mineiro, with football’s governing body ruling in his favour.
Richarlison, who started Spurs’ opening-day Premier League defeat at Brentford, could now have played his final game for the club.
He had been set to return to Everton as part of a deal involving Iliman Ndiaye, but the transfer collapsed after Richarlison failed to agree personal terms with the Toffees.
While the deal stalled, Manchester City turned their attention to Ndiaye after their move for Cody Gakpo fell through.
Liverpool were unable to sell Gakpo because they did not have enough time to find a replacement, prompting City to pursue Ndiaye instead. The Senegal international ultimately chose City over Tottenham.
