Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly submitted a verbal bid to Chelsea for Portugal international Pedro Neto.

Spurs are seeking another wide attacker as Roberto De Zerbi continues to reshape his squad before the new Premier League season.

OneFootball, carrying a report from SportsView, claims Tottenham have made an initial verbal proposal for the 26-year-old. The size of the bid has not been disclosed.

There has also been no indication that Chelsea have accepted the proposal or opened formal negotiations over a sale.

Tottenham make Pedro Neto transfer move

Neto joined Chelsea from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £54million in August 2024. He signed a long-term contract which places the Blues in a strong negotiating position.

The winger reportedly recorded 10 goals and 10 assists in 52 appearances last season. His pace and ability to operate on either flank would provide De Zerbi with another direct attacking option.

Neto can also play through the middle when required. However, he started regularly for Chelsea last season and may still feature prominently in Xabi Alonso’s plans.

Tottenham have considered several attackers during the summer window. Read Tottenham reported on Monday that the club lead the race to sign €50million Benfica winger Andreas Schjelderup.

Spurs have also held talks over Manchester City winger Savinho, who has previously been described as their priority attacking target.

The reported Neto proposal suggests Tottenham are keeping several options open while those negotiations continue.

Chelsea have not publicly indicated that Neto is available. Tottenham may therefore need to submit a significant formal offer before the Blues consider selling a regular starter to a London rival.
