La Valle is a newspaper in the Aosta Valley region of northern Italy, and today they’ve covered a potential transfer tussle for local boy Nicolò Savona.
Tottenham Hotspur are presented as leading a Premier League pack for the 22-year-old, with Spurs joined by Newcastle United, Wolves and Bournemouth.
Savona is a right-back and has come through the youth system at Juventus. He recently signed a new contract but the Turin club have a record of selling young players in order to provide funds to bring in older ones.
Bournemouth themselves will know all about that, having profited hugely from the Turin club’s hasty decision to sell them Dean Huijsen in the summer 2024 window, with the defender since sold to Real Madrid at great profit.
Tottenham, Newcastle United and Wolves may be trying to get a similar bargain in. The local newspaper reckon Savona has a good chance of soon being called into the Italy national side, which would have an impact on his value.
