On August 7th, Gianluca Di Marzio reported Como have turned down Tottenham Hotspur’s €40m bid for Nico Paz.

Recent claims in the UK have discussed the north London club’s interest in the attacking midfielder.

On Saturday, La Provincia di Como dismissed Tottenham making an offer but reported they made an approach for Paz.

Gianluca Di Marzio shares the latest and continues to insist Tottenham have already made a ‘clear move’ by offering €40m at the start of this month, which was rejected by Como.

Thomas Frank’s side are looking for an attacking midfielder following James Maddison’s serious injury setback. According to the Italian journalist, they are keen on signing the 20-year-old, despite Como’s initial rejection.

Cesc Fàbregas’ side are said to have requested €70m for the Argentina international, who has a contract lasting until 2028.

Di Marzio claims Tottenham now want to raise their offer, without specifying the figure or whether they’ll meet the €70m requested by Como.

Paz left Real Madrid for the Italian club in August 2024. Los Blancos have an option to match Tottenham’s offer or reportedly receive 50% fee from his sale. In other words, the journalist reports the Spanish club will have a huge say on the player’s future.
