Rosario Central are making progress on a deal for Tottenham striker Alejo Veliz and have already made him a contract proposal.
That’s according to La Capital, who report that talks with the Tottenham striker are ongoing, but it remains to be seen if Spurs will sanction an exit.
The club’s management are keen on adding Veliz to their squad in what is already an exciting transfer window after they brought in Angel di Maria.
Work is already underway on the Tottenham forward and a ‘high ranking source’ has confirmed that they have made a contract proposal to the 21-year-old. What needs to be worked on is the agreement with Tottenham themselves.
The offer of a contract is seen as a clear sign of their interest in the striker and a dialogue is open on that front.
Veliz’s current deal with Tottenham runs until 2029 but he does not appear to be a part of their plans after unsuccessful loan spells at Espanyol and Sevilla. Rosario would like a loan deal, and the belief is that Tottenham are open to that.
That’s led to confidence in Rosario, who believe there is a chance to get it done so long as those negotiations continue.
