According to Team Talk, Tottenham could continue keeping tabs on Samu Aghehowa ahead of the January window, but there are big challenges to bring the FC Porto star in the winter months. Moreover, Spurs may have to pay at least £70 million to even tempt the Portuguese side to consider a sale, as a move in the next window might seem unlikely.
Samu Aghehowa is seen as one of the top striker talents in Europe, as many top clubs are keeping close tabs on his development at Porto. Having signed for the Portuguese side in the summer of 2024 after a failed transfer to Chelsea, the Spanish striker has flourished there.
The attacker has scored 36 times for Porto in 56 appearances across all competitions since signing for the club, which is impressive in many ways. However, his stay here could be short-lived, as Tottenham, among other teams, are interested in signing him.
Porto are reluctant to lose him in January, although the conversations could be had ahead of next summer’s window. The striker has an £87 million release clause in his contract, which could prove prohibitive to many of the interested parties, although not impossible.
As per the report, Tottenham are one of the keenest of all in the race for Aghehowa, with the north Londoners keeping close tabs.
