Two weeks ago, Gianluca Di Marzio reported Tottenham had made a €40m offer for Como’s Nico Paz.

While this claim was denied by sections of the media, reports this week from England have spoken of a renewed Spurs approach for the Argentine.

La Provincia di Como have responded to this and completely trash the idea of an offer from Tottenham.

While the Italian side have refused to comment publicly on this topic, the outlet claim there’s never been a formal negotiation for the talented Argentine and no offer has been received by Como.

Even though Tottenham are interested in the 20-year-old, Thomas Frank’s side have not gone beyond an enquiry and Come can’t stop anyone making an approach.

The newspaper reiterates Real Madrid will have a say in Paz’s future. They have the option to match any offer that arrives for the youngster or are entitled to a 50% resale fee from his potential Como exit.

The overwhelming local stance is Cesc Fabregas’ side will not be convinced easily to sell Paz.

Como have shown a lot of ambition this summer and as well as battling Inter Milan to keep Fabregas, they have also managed to keep Assane Diao at the club. This indicates that any move from Tottenham will face a brick wall.
