Tottenham have been offered a chance to sign Serie A star on a free transfer.

Tottenham Hotspur look to be wasting no time in reshaping their squad. The N17 chiefs look to be moving with intent this summer and are expecting the arrivals of Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi at the end of June on free transfers from Liverpool and Bournemouth, respectively, having agreed verbal deals with the defensive duo.

Spurs continue to be in talks with Brighton and Hove Albion after seeing their opening bid for defender Jan Paul van Hecke rejected. It is understood that they are formulating a second offer, hoping to negotiate down Brighton’s £70million price tag for Van Hecke.

The North Londoners are also in desperate need of attacking reinforcements. Scoring goals was a massive problem this past season, with forwards Richarlison, Dominic Solanke, Mathys Tel and Randal Kolo Muani contributing to only 18 Premier League goals. Spurs have been linked with several strikers over the last few months, with Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic one of those.

Tottenham approached by Dusan Vlahovic’s agent over summer move

Following the failure to reach a contract agreement, Dusan Vlahovic is set to leave Juventus on a free transfer at the end of the month. Juventus director Giorgio Chiellini officially confirmed earlier this week that talks over a new contract with the striker had collapsed. It is now believed that the Serbian international will almost certainly move abroad, since no club in Serie A can match his €8million wage demands.

According to an exclusive report from TEAMtalk, Vlahovic’s agent has approached Tottenham among several other clubs to offer his client. However, Spurs have not seriously considered the 26-year-old as much as their London rivals, Chelsea, who are very much keen to sign him on a free transfer from Juventus.

Premier League clubs have spoken with the Serbian star’s camp this week after being informed that he will be leaving the Turin giants when his contract expires on June 30. From England, Chelsea have been showing the most interest in striking a deal, although the Pensioners could face competition from Spanish duo Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, as well as Saudi Pro League clubs.

Spurs wanted Dusan Vlahovic in January

As far as Tottenham are concerned, they have been following Vlahovic for the last few years. Their admiration for the ex-Fiorentina star remains strong, having identified him as a potential replacement for Richarlison during the January transfer window. As he was about to enter the final six months of his contract at Juventus, the North Londoners were hopeful of securing the striker on a cut-price deal.

However, a deal didn’t materialise then due to Vlahovic suffering an injury. This led to Tottenham cooling their interest in the Serb. Now, there is a chance to revive interest in the striker, who has plundered an impressive 136 senior career goals for club and country.

With Randal Kolo Muani heading back to PSG, Dominic Solanke enduring another injury-hit campaign and Richarlison entering the final year of his contract, it will be interesting to see whether the N17 chiefs spring back into life and challenge Chelsea for Vlahovic’s signature.
