Tottenham are eyeing an upgrade over Richarlison ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Tottenham Hotspur have been busy in the summer market already, agreeing deals to sign both Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi on free transfers from Liverpool and Bournemouth, respectively. They are also working on a deal to bring in Savinho from Manchester City.

Spurs’ biggest problem over the last two seasons has been creating and scoring goals. Unfortunately, Richarlison and Dominic Solanke have not provided enough goals, while Randal Kolo Muani proved to be an underwhelming loan signing from PSG.

With Kolo Muani set to return to PSG once his loan spell expires at the end of June, Solanke missing large chunks of the past campaign and Richarlison set to enter the final year of his contract, Tottenham certainly need a new face up front to lead their attack next season.

Tottenham handed the opportunity to land PSG striker

Spurs have lacked an elite goalscorer since the departure of Harry Kane in 2024. They have tried to fill the huge void created by Kane’s exit by signing Solanke from Bournemouth, but it is a move that hasn’t paid rich rewards so far.

After Kolo Muani’s disastrous loan spell, Tottenham fans would be sceptical of being linked with another PSG forward apart from Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue. However, they are being linked with one now.

According to reliable Spurs insider Szyexcl on X, Goncalo Ramos has been offered to the Lilywhites. It is not yet known whether Les Parisians have offered the Portuguese striker or his agents. Anyway, this shows he is surplus to requirements for PSG boss Luis Enrique.

Goncalo Ramos has acted as an understudy to Dembele over the past two campaigns. The 24-year-old is seeking a larger role, something that the European champions, it would seem, won’t be able to offer him. He managed only 13 starts of 30 Ligue 1 fixtures this past season, netting six goals. Thus, the centre-forward, who has a contract until 2028, wants to leave Parc des Princes this summer.

Goncalo Ramos would be a fantastic addition to Tottenham’s attacking ranks

Ramos is a traditional No.9, a poacher in the box who can score all kinds of goals. He can link-up play, hold up the ball and bring his teammates into play and finish off moves. The Portuguese has the attributes to thrive in the hustle and bustle of Premier League football.

Spurs are not short of striker depth, but the club may take the view that Ramos could provide more in attack than Richarlison, who has struggled with fitness and consistency throughout his N17 career. He’d be an upgrade over the Brazilian international in terms of natural goalscoring ability and fitness record.

Having been offered, the Tottenham chiefs could open the door to a move for Ramos, especially if he impresses during Portugal‘s World Cup campaign later this summer.
