Rangers boss Danny Rohl has said they are in ‘conversations’ over a return for Tottenham Hotspur youngster Mikey Moore for next season. The prospect has caught the eye at Ibrox in this campaign. He is due to return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the summer.

The Gers are keen to lure him back to Ibrox in some capacity though. They are currently aiming to win the Scottish Premiership title. However, they face competition from Hearts and rivals Celtic.

Rangers want Tottenham Hotspur loan man Mikey Moore back for next season

Rangers manager Rohl has said, as per a report by the Daily Mail: “Yeah, me as well. There’s no question. I think conversations are always there [with Tottenham], but we know when Mikey performs like this, you can see he enjoys playing for Rangers. The fans love him, I like him, he’s a key player. I think there’s a lot of good things where we could go again together. We know he’s still not our player, let’s work in the next couple of weeks in all those directions [to bring him back].

“Since I came to the club, Mikey is getting better and better. We started this week to prepare for the summer. I think we are in a good position, we are very clear what we want. I think it’s also helpful now that we have the idea of how I want to play football, committed with a fantastic owner, with the good people around me — everything goes in the right direction.”

He added: “We work hard, we have again a good summer that we prepare for next season, but let’s finish this season strong and successful. The most important thing is that we bring good results in the next seven games. If we win the next seven games, we will win the league.”

Spurs gave Moore the green light to link up with Rangers on a temporary basis last summer to get some experience. He has since become a key player for the Glasgow giants. The teenager has scored five goals in 38 games in all competitions.

The England youth international, 18, has been on the books of his parent club for his whole career to date. He rose up through their academy and has been a regular at various different youth levels. The London-born man has played 21 times for their first-team and has found the net once.

Spurs will be weighing up what to do next with Moore. His situation is uncertain as it is yet to be known what league they will be in next term. If they go down, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him stick around.
