Tottenham look to have decided on their next manager after sacking Thomas Frank, who left Spurs languishing just five points above the Premier League relegation zone
Tottenham have reached a verbal agreement with ex-Juventus manager Igor Tudor, who is set to sign a deal until the end of this season. Spurs will wait until the summer to decide on a permanent replacement for Thomas Frank - when former boss Mauricio Pochettino is likely to be more attainable.
Frank was relieved of his duties on Wednesday off the back of Tottenham's dismal 2-1 defeat at home to Newcastle. The result means that Spurs are only five points clear of the relegation zone with 12 games remaining.
Tottenham are still in the Champions League, though, and secured automatic qualification to the last 16 last month by finishing fourth in the table. Frank's success in Europe wasn't enough to keep him in a job, with Spurs having one just two of their last 17 Premier League games.
Tottenham want a coach with a track record of making an immediate impact and that man is set to be Tudor, with a deal on the table until June. The Croatian would then make his case to get the job permanently between now and the end of the campaign.

Tudor has experience of being an interim from his time at Juventus, who hired him last March. The 47-year-old convinced Juve to keep him on and was handed a three-year contract, only to be sacked in October..
Having already been knocked out of the FA Cup, Spurs' first-team players won't be back in training until Monday. Tottenham's next game is the small matter of the North London derby at home to Arsenal.
Fans chanted Pochettino's name during the Newcastle loss and reports that Tudor would only be an interim plays into his hands. Due to being in charge of World Cup co-hosts the USA, the ex-Spurs manager would only be open to an emotion return to North London after this summer's tournament takes place.

Tottenham persisted with Frank after a woeful winter but their failure to win a Premier League game since December spelled the end for the Dane. "The club has taken the decision to make a change in the men's head coach position and Thomas Frank will leave today," Spurs said in a statement.
"Thomas was appointed in June 2025, and we have been determined to give him the time and support needed to build for the future together. However, results and performances have led the board to conclude that a change at this point in the season is necessary.
"Throughout his time at the club, Thomas has conducted himself with unwavering commitment, giving everything in his efforts to move the club forward. We would like to thank him for his contribution and wish him every success in the future."
