Tottenham have reportedly set a clear price tag for Richarlison, with local journalist Fabrício Lopes stating that the Brazilian striker could leave north London for around €20m (£17m).

That figure, equivalent to roughly R$125m, would make him one of the most expensive signings in the history of Brazilian football if Flamengo were to push ahead.

The forward, now 28, has been linked with a return to South America on several occasions, and Flamengo are once again named as the leading candidate.

Lopes explains the club are searching for a high-profile addition to their attack and have Richarlison on a shortlist that also includes Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus and Lazio’s Taty Castellanos.

The Rio club have already invested heavily to land Jorginho, Samuel Lino, Saúl Ñíguez and Emerson Royal in recent windows, showing they are willing to match European-level ambitions in the market.

Richarlison has scored three goals and registered one assist in nine Tottenham matches this season, a sign of steadier form compared to last term, when injuries limited him to just 24 games.

Even so, Tottenham’s valuation represents a significant outlay for any Brazilian side, and whether Flamengo are ready to match it remains uncertain.

However, the Spurs striker remains a regular feature in the Premier League and continues to be monitored by Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti. Any move away from Spurs would be notable not only for its financial scale but also for the impact on his international prospects.

The scenario leaves Richarlison as a realistic name on Flamengo’s radar, though the high costs and Premier League interest mean his future is still very much in the balance.
