Tottenham Hotspur are set to sack Igor Tudor within the next 24 to 48 hours, sources have told Football Insider.
Roberto De Zerbi has been identified as the Lilywhites’ top target to replace the outgoing interim boss, provided that the club can convince him to take the job immediately, rather than at the end of the season.
Tudor has been facing significant pressure in North London in recent weeks, but sources have now indicated that the board have decided that last weekend’s 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest was the final straw.
Spurs are now just one point clear of the relegation zone heading into the final seven games of the season, and the hierarchy have decided that another change in the dugout is necessary.
De Zerbi is Tottenham’s leading managerial candidate at the moment, but any deal is likely to depend on his desire to return to management immediately.

Tottenham board settle on another managerial change
Tottenham’s relegation fears have been growing with every passing game of late, and the board have now decided that enough is enough where Tudor is concerned.
The team had shown signs of life under his guidance with a 1-1 draw at Liverpool followed by victory over Atletico Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie, but optimism quickly evaporated with the defeat to Forest.
Tudor is set to leave his post at the helm of the North London outfit, having taken just one point from his five Premier League games in charge, and with three of those games ending in defeats by two goals or more.
Tottenham are now winless in their last 13 league games, with their most recent domestic victory coming away at Crystal Palace way back on 28 December.
They are now staring down the barrel of an unprecedented relegation into the Championship after their defeat to Forest, a result which has propelled Vitor Pereira’s side two points above Spurs in the table.
The likes of Harry Redknapp, Glenn Hoddle and Tim Sherwood have all been tipped to take over from Tudor in recent weeks, but the responsibility is now set to fall on De Zerbi if a deal can be struck.
Spurs fans explode over Roberto De Zerbi news
Tottenham fans have exploded over the De Zerbi news in recent hours, with several taking to social media to make their frustrations known towards the board.
The potential appointment is not set to be a popular one in the eyes of the fanbase, with one supporter taking to X to suggest that the former Brighton boss has the “ego of Antonio Conte and the ability of Thomas Frank.”
The Italian chief has been out of work since he left French side Marseille by mutual consent back in February, but could now be about to step back into a Premier League dugout.
De Zerbi led Brighton to European qualification for the first time in their history thanks to a sixth-placed finish back in 2022-23, and Tottenham are hopeful that he will be able to spark the upturn that is needed for them to stay in the league.
