Tottenham Hotspur can now begin full preparations for the 2025/26 campaign with the ongoing managerial debacle now finalised. Brentford head coach Thomas Frank has arrived in north London to replace Ange Postecoglou.

The Aussie had long been tipped to leave Spurs this summer but an unexpected Europa League triumph went a long way to forgetting what was a dire Premier League campaign. That was, however, not enough to convince Daniel Levy that Postecoglou was the man to lead the club next term.

Instead, that will be Frank, who leaves Brentford having taken the west London club to Premier League security from the Championship. LondonWorld looks at what a Tottenham Hotspur starting XI could look like next season if current transfer rumours come true, with several Brentford first team stars tipped to be following Frank to his new club.

Tottenham Hotspur starting XI if transfer rumours come true

Goalkeeper: Guglielmo Vicario

Defenders: Pedro Porro, Nathan Collins, Fikayo Tomori, Djed Spence

Guglielmo Vicario looks sure to hold down the number one spot at Tottenham Hotspur next season. An ankle injury kept him out of action between December and February last term and the shot-stopper will be hoping for a more injury-free campaign.

The emergence of Djed Spence was one of the positives under Ange Postecoglou and Pedro Porro could remain influential on the other flank. There are major questions over the future of Cristian Romero, who was already linked with a move to Spain before his disheartened response at the Aussie’s sacking. TBR Football is just one publication to suggest that Frank could bring Nathan Collins to north London while Calciomercato.it suggest that Fikayo Tomori could head to Spurs on a swap deal for Radu Dragusin.

Midfielders: James Maddison, Angel Gomes, Yehor Yarmolyuk

Spurs lacked bite in midfield throughout the Premier League campaign last season and that is something Daniel Levy could look to fix with Frank. Lille midfielder Angel Gomes will find a new club this summer having left as a free agent, and it’s been widely speculated that could be Tottenham Hotspur.

Meanwhile, Spurs have also been linked with rising Brentford star Yarmolyuk, who was a favourite under Frank at the Gtech Community Stadium. There’s still more to come from James Maddison too in the heart of midfield.

Wingers: Bryan Mbeumo, Son Heung-min

Striker: Dominic Solanke

There are some murmurs over an exit for club captain Son Heung-min but they seem muted. Frank will be keen to have the South Korean in his side with his experience likely vital to overseeing a smooth transition.

Another Brentford player linked with a move to follow Frank to Spurs is Bryan Mbeumo, who has no shortage of suitors in the summer window with the Bees expected to sell. Dominic Solanke is set to lead the line with Richarlison linked with a move back to former club Everton.
