Following their relegation to the Sky Bet Championship last season, West Ham United have lost a number of players, but they are now closing in on Tottenham star
Manor Solomon is closing in on a move to West Ham United. It is being reported that while a deal for the winger has yet to be finalised, it is now near completion.
Tottenham Hotspur will receive £5million up front, plus a further £2m in add-ons. Spurs have also reportedly added a 10 per cent sell-on clause into the deal.
Solomon has featured heavily for Spurs in pre-season but played just six competitive games since joining the club on a free transfer in 2023 from Shakhtar Donetsk.
The 27-year-old is set for a medical this weekend, and should everything go as planned, he will become the Hammers’ third signing of the summer.
The Hammers confirmed the signing of Joel Veltman on a one-year contract following his departure from Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday.
Back in June, they triggered their £1m option to make Venezuelan winger Keiber Lamadrid’s loan move from Deportivo La Guaira permanent.
Following their relegation last season, the Hammers have lost a number of players, with Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville among those who have departed.
"When you have talented players and get relegated, unfortunately it's normal," Hammers boss Nuno Espirito Santo admitted earlier this week.
"For Fernandes and Cry, it was a pleasure to work with them, and we wish them all the best. Until the end of the window, you have to be ready for everything, in and out."
On further incomings, Nuno added: "We don't have much time, but we don't want to make mistakes. It's crucial the players who come in are right, so we are taking our time to make sure we get it right.
"We identify the targets, we know the profiles and the names, so we let the club do their jobs. Nils (Koppen) is working hard every day. I don't want to speak about specific players.
"I can speak about Axel (Disasi) about what he did when he was here, but with respect we are focused on what we have now."
