One of Tottenham’s bright young stars has been attracting interest amid some impressive displays while out on loan. Spurs have a bright crop of young players who may be used sooner than anticipated given the current state of the club.
Tottenham are battling for their lives, now just a point above the relegation zone. Igor Tudor may already be fighting to keep his interim job, but he does have a respite of sorts in the form of the Champions League this week, which will at least provide a different kind of pressure.
Meanwhile, club bosses will be trying to formulate new plans to turn this sinking ship around both in the short and medium term. Spurs are going to have to get their managerial appointment spot on this summer, and they need to hit on recruitment.
Spurs have been particularly weak on the recruitment front in recent years, but they have managed to bring in some talented youngsters. One of them is Luka Vuskovic, who has been impressing on loan with Hamburg.
Vuskovic has been a regular with the Bundesliga side, and his performances have seen him linked with a number of clubs around Europe. But thankfully for Spurs, they still have full control over the 19-year-old’s future, with no option to buy in the loan deal.
This week, the player’s agent. Pini Zahavi, spoke to Mundo Deportivo after he was asked about his client’s future. He responded: “I cannot comment on anything at this time. The player still belongs to Hamburg and is completely focused there.”
“I can give an update in exactly two months, that is, after his loan ends and he officially returns to Tottenham.” Spurs have the defender tied down to a deal until 2030.
