Tottenham reportedly expressed an interest in Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson but have been put off by his price tag. RMC Sport reports that Spurs were keen on the Senegal striker but his £60million valuation 'deterred' them.
Aston Villa and Altetico Madrid are also said to be interested. Jackson spent last season on loan to Bayern Munich but started just 15 of the 34 matches he featured in across all competitions.
He scored 11 times and provided four assists during his time in Germany.
Paul Scholes believes Tottenham have chosen the better Newcastle midfielder to sign this summer. Arsenal paid £75million for Bruno Guimaraes while Spurs splashed £100m on Sandro Tonali.
While both have their quality attributes, Scholes is of the opinion that Tonali is the better option. He told The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast: "I think Bruno Guimaraes will make Arsenal a better football team.
"But I do think Sandro Tonali is a better player, he’s got more legs about him. I don’t think Bruno is amazing physically but he might be more suited to Arsenal."
Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek has reportedly confirmed that Victor Osimhen is not to be sold this summer.
He added: "No matter how much the price is, I am not selling Osimhen."
