There were murmurs of a response from Tottenham Hotspur in the 5-3 defeat at Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night but conceding another hatful of goals continues to underline issues for Thomas Frank.

Vitinha became the second player in just four days to score a hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur, after Eberechi Eze netted three in the 4-1 win over their North London rivals. Frank must firm up his defence when Fulham visit on Saturday night.

Marco Silva’s side are buoyed by a 1-0 win over Sunderland last time out and have fresh legs having not played in midweek. Here’s your Tottenham Hotspur v Fulham team news ahead of the weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur team news

Tottenham Hotspur will be without the services of captain Cristian Romero against Fulham after the centre-back’s foolish yellow card in the defeat to Arsenal. The Argentine has now accumulated five yellow cards and will serve a one match suspension.

Brennan Johnson was missing against Paris Saint-Germain in midweek due to a red card last time out in the Champions League against FC Copenhagen. He will be eligible to play against Fulham on Saturday night.

There were no fresh injury concerns picked up against the French giants with several first team stars returning from injury against the Gunners. Radu Dragusin has returned to first team training so is the next to come back while James Maddison and Dominic Solanke remain sidelined.

Doubts - Radu Dragusin. Outs - James Maddison, Dominic Solanke, Cristian Romero.

Fulham team news

Fulham were without Sasa Lukic against Sunderland due to suspension but the 29-year-old has now served his one match suspension having picked up five yellow cards and is eligible again.

Rodrigo Muniz remains a longer term absentee having had surgery on a hamstring injury picked up at Everton earlier this month. A club statement read: “The Club can provide an update on Rodrigo Muniz’s injury.

“Rodrigo underwent scans and the Club sought specialist opinion following our game at Everton last weekend. He will have surgery to his hamstring over the coming days, and is expected to return to action early in the New Year. Everyone at Fulham wishes Rodrigo all the very best for his surgery and during his rehabilitation.”

Antonee Robinson is a doubt with a knee injury and hasn’t played since the 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa at the end of September. The exact timescale for the full-back isn’t known and he is likely to be absent again, but a return should not be too far off with Silva saying the player was ‘getting better’ at the start of the month.

Doubts - Antonee Robinson. Outs - Rodrigo Muniz.
