Tottenham star Pedro Porro has emerged as a target for several European clubs.

Tottenham Hotspur have been moving swiftly in the transfer market. They have already wrapped up the signings of Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi, both on free transfers, and remain hungry to add more to Roberto De Zerbi’s squad.

Despite Spurs preserving their top-flight status, several of their players continue to be linked with an exit. Pedro Porro is one of those. The right-back, who was a mainstay in the backline under Roberto De Zerbi, has caught the attention of Barcelona. The Spanish champions may make a move for the Tottenham star in case Jules Kounde is sold.

However, Barcelona aren’t the only club interested in Pedro Porro. Manchester City and Atletico Madrid are planning to sign the Spanish international. The Sky Blues and Los Rojiblancos have reportedly made contact with the 26-year-old’s agents over a potential summer move. Rico Lewis and Matheus Nunes are the two recognised right-backs in the Man City squad, while Atletico Madrid have Marcos Llorente and Nahuel Molina in their roster.

Tottenham do not want to let go of Pedro Porro

Now, reputable journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed on X what Tottenham’s plans are when it comes to Porro. The Italian claims Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi views the full-back as an important player in his team and wants him to stay at the club.

Porro had a mixed campaign but managed to finish it strongly. He started and played every minute of the final seven games under De Zerbi, proving his worth to the team. De Zerbi relied on the Spaniard, and he didn’t disappoint, showing maturity, experience and leadership qualities when the team was in trenches. He ended the 2025/26 season with two goals and six assists in 47 appearances.

Last month, Porro confessed that he didn’t even think once about leaving the club when the Lilywhites were battling relegation. The Don Benito-born star also pointed out that he still has two years left on his contract to run down, thus pouring cold water on speculation.

Indeed, the right-back’s contract doesn’t expire until 2028 (h/t Transfermarkt), so the North Londoners are in a strong position to ask for a hefty fee for his services. Having been selected to the Spain squad for the World Cup, Porro’s stock will only rise further if he goes on to enjoy a strong campaign.

The former Sporting CP man has matured, gained more experience and grown into a leader in recent years at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. He is a committed player, always giving his 100 per cent on the pitch. Coaches often love to have such personalities in the dressing room, and unsurprisingly, it is no different with De Zerbi when it comes to Porro.
