Tottenham Hotspur signed two of the world's best up and coming young stars in Xavi Simons and Mohammed Kudus. So far, Kudus has been a revelation and one of the best wingers in the Premier League, and while Simons has taken time to get things going and earn the trust of Thomas Frank, he, too, has proven that Spurs are a lot better with him than without him.

But Tottenham still need more attacking help. Richarlison is eating away ineffective minutes at striker, while the left wing position remains a prime area of need for Tottenham to address in the January transfer window. Antoine Semenyo is the clear No. 1 transfer target for Spurs this coming winter, but Spurs also need to broaden their horizons with so many top clubs in England also going hard after the Ghanaian winger - clubs like Manchester City and Liverpool.

According to a new report from BILD in Germany, FC Koln breakout forward Said El Mala, who is one of the players near the top of the fabled Bayern Munich tranfer wish list, is now being hotly pursued by both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United. Per BILD, El Mala could be purchased for between 30 and 40 million euros in 2026.

Tottenham will have to compete with Bayern Munich

El Mala has been playing as a striker or a goal scoring left winger and has impressed mightily for Koln, even though he has been eased along with six starts compared to eight appearances off the bench. But even splitting half his appearances between the starting XI and bench, El Mala is still doing a whole lot from an end product perspective with six goals and two assists.

Everyone who watches the Bundesliga is raving about El Mala and his long term upside. Much like Mathys Tel explodes past defenders and has that mentality to go for the shot instead of mucking around uselessly with the ball, El Mala has that explosiveness and killer mentality, except the 19 year old German youth international already has the quality in front of goal to deliver with as many goals as starts (six).

It is highly unlikely Tottenham are able to beat Bayern out to El Mala with Die Roten so intent on grabbing the latest breakout future superstar in the attack in Germany. But you never know until you try, and Tottenham have both the opportunity and clout to make a swoop for El Mala, who is honestly priced pretty reasonably.
