Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Troy Parrott is being linked with a return to English football
Tottenham Hotspur are in line to receive a welcome financial boost if West Ham were to complete the signing of Troy Parrott. The Hammers have been credited with an interest in signing the former Spurs striker, who has enjoyed an impressive spell in the Eredivisie with AZ Alkmaar.
Parrott left Tottenham in the summer of 2024 in a deal worth around £6.7million, and the striker has since managed to score 51 goals for the Dutch club.
There have now been various reports claiming that West Ham have expressed an interest in signing Parrott, which would see the striker return to England two years after his exit.
Reports have speculated that Alkmaar values Parrott at around £25million, and Spurs would be in line to receive a portion of that fee if a deal were to be completed.
As football.london reported at the time of Parrott’s departure from north London, Spurs would be in line to receive 20 percent of any further fee from his exit from Alkmaar.
As a result, if West Ham were to sign the former Tottenham striker for the reported £25million valuation, Spurs would be set to receive around £5million.
A recent report in talkSPORT has claimed that Fulham have also expressed an interest in signing Parrott this summer.
There is also rumoured to be interest from Ajax and PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie, as well as Real Betis in La Liga and Como in Serie A.
It remains to be seen which club Parrott could end up joining this summer if he were to leave Alkmaar, with West Ham continuing their preparations for their first season in the Championship following their relegation from the Premier League last term.

Spurs have had a busy summer transfer window, and a financial windfall from a potential deal for Parrott would be a welcome boost to the funds they have available for new signings.
Andy Robertson, Martin Dubravka and Marcos Senesi have been signed as free agents, while Sandro Tonali, Jan Paul van Hecke and Mateus Fernandes have joined on permanent deals.
Tottenham have been linked with strengthening their forward line this summer, too, with Cody Gakpo of Liverpool and Savinho of Manchester City also mentioned as potential targets.
