Tottenham Hotspur’s brand new third kit for the forthcoming 2026/27 Premier League season appears to have been leaked online ahead of its official release later this summer – but the club’s fans don’t seem to be too impressed by Nike’s new design.

Details of the new shirt have been published by Footy Headlines, who also claim to have sourced an image of the jersey. 3 Added Minutes has not yet been able to independently verify the alleged leak, although previous stories from the same sources have often proven to be accurate – and this leak follows similar stories concerning the home and away shirts.

What Tottenham Hotspur’s new third kit for the 2026/27 season looks like - according to leaks

The social media post above purports to show Nike’s new design for the Spurs third kit for the coming season – a distinctive lilac number with darker purple pinstripes, collar and trim down the flanks.

The club crest, manufacturer’s logo and sponsors are set to be picked out in plain white, with a flash of white also appearing on the edges of the vintage-style collar.

This is the first time that the club will have worn purple on a change kit since the much-derided away shirt from the 2022/23 season, although it has been a fairly common look for Spurs since their first purple and blue shirt back in 1993/94.

A ‘lifestyle’ edition of the kit is also allegedly set to be released, which features broader stripes and with the lilac and dark purple reversed. That kit also has a more typical v-neck collar, but won’t be worn during matches.

The leak of the third kit follows similar stories regarding the designs of the home jersey – which is set to be a rather plain all-white affair – and the away kit, which is expected to feature an especially bold pink, orange and dark blue abstract design. None of the three kits to be worn next season have been officially unveiled at the time of writing.

Fans react to ‘awful’ new Spurs third kit

The reaction to the leak from Spurs supporters on social media has been less than positive, with plenty of fans taking to platforms such as X to voice their displeasure about the new look.

Comments responding to the leaked images describe the new kit as “awful,” “unbelievably bad” and even beg that it “please be a joke,” with the rather idiosyncratic collar coming in for special criticism from many supporters.

The reaction follows negative responses to both the somewhat bland home shirt and the lurid away jersey, which seems to have drawn an especially impressive amount of ire after leaked images appeared in recent weeks.

Footy Headlines claim that the third kit is set to be officially unveiled in August, after the World Cup, likely after the home and away shirts and released for sale, but no official date has been set as of yet.
