The summer window continues to ramp up as the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham work on deals to improve their squads. The Gunners are on the lookout for attacking targets, and could reignite their interest in Julian Alvarez, amid interest in Bradley Barcola and lliman Ndiaye, while Ezri Konsa and Tottenham captain Cristian Romero are of interest in defence.

Manchester United need a new left-back, but Newcastle are refusing to sell Lewis Hall so Jorge Salinas is said to be a new target. An injury to Mason Mount could see United renew efforts to sign a midfielder. Chelsea are set to confirm the arrival of Pep Chavarria, as they await the arrival of Morgan Rogers in training for the first time.

Barcelona captain Ronald Araujo is set to undergo a medical with Liverpool, who remain keen to wrap up a deal for Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye. Tottenham have turned attentions to Georges Mikautadze, and remain keen on Cody Gakpo and Savinho, as Micky van de Ven agrees a new contract and Manor Solomon heads to West Ham. Mikel Arteta targets more Arsenal transfers

Mikel Arteta confirmed Arsenal are still looking to strengthen further in the transfer market after the arrival of Bruno Guimaraes.

The Gunners unveiled Guimaraes in front of their home fans on Sunday, with the Brazilian walking out onto the pitch ahead of the pre-season defeat to Borussia Dortmund.

Guimaraes signed for £75million from Newcastle and is the third new arrival, following Illan Meslier and Christos Tzolis in joining the club this summer.

Piero Hincapie's move has also been made permanent but the Gunners remain in the market for more.

Crystal Palace and Everton discuss Brennan Johnson-Dwight McNeil swap

Crystal Palace and Everton are in talks over a potential swap deal involving Brennan Johnson and Dwight McNeil.

According to The Times, McNeil could finally make the move to Palace after a proposed transfer broke down at the last minute in January. The Everton winger is valued at around £20m.

Johnson has struggled since joining Palace from Tottenham for £35m in January, with the Eagles keen to recoup a significant portion of their investment.

A straight swap could therefore prove difficult to negotiate, with both clubs needing to agree on the valuations of the two players before a deal can progress.

Filip Jorgensen agrees Strasbourg loan

Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen has agreed to join Strasbourg on a season-long loan, writes Dom Smith.

Standard Sport understands that the 24-year-old had already left Chelsea’s pre-season camp to join the sister club, who want a ball-playing goalkeeper following Mike Penders’ return to the Blues.

Jorgensen is looking for regular first-team football after struggling to displace Robert Sanchez as Chelsea’s first-choice goalkeeper. He returned to London last week to resolve his future after joining the squad for pre-season.

Fulham agree £30m deal for Shea Charles

Fulham have agreed a deal with Southampton to sign midfielder Shea Charles for a fee that could reach £30m, writes Sam Tabuteau.

The 22-year-old is set to undergo a medical on Monday before signing a five-year contract, with Fulham paying £26m up front and a possible further £4m in add-ons.

The move would make Charles the most expensive Northern Irish footballer ever, after he impressed for Southampton last season with six goals and two assists in 38 appearances.

Leeds United had previously seen multiple bids worth more than £20m rejected for the midfielder, but Fulham have now won the race for the former Manchester City youngster.

Man Utd leading race for Leicester wonderkid

Manchester United are working on a deal to sign Leicester City midfielder Louis Page.

The 18-year-old, who was named EFL Apprentice of the Year last season, is regarded as one of the brightest young talents outside the Premier League.

Page has already made 21 senior appearances for Leicester and is also an England Under-20 international. Talks over a potential transfer are understood to be ongoing.

BBC Sport report that Arsenal and Aston Villa have also shown strong interest in Page in recent weeks, but United are now looking to beat their Premier League rivals to the highly-rated youngster.

Galatasaray submit £34.3m bid for Gabriel Martinelli

Galatasaray have submitted a €40million (£34.3m) bid for Arsenal attacker Gabriel Martinelli.

According to journalist Haluk Yurekli, the Turkish champions have stepped up their interest in the Brazilian after previously identifying him as an alternative to AC Milan winger Rafael Leao.

Martinelli has emerged as a serious target for Galatasaray, although Arsenal’s stance on selling the 25-year-old remains unclear.

The Gunners could face a difficult decision over the winger, particularly after missing out on Vinicius Jr and their ongoing search for attacking reinforcements.

Marcus Rashford is back at Manchester United’s Carrington training ground for the start of his pre-season.

There remains plenty of uncertainty over his future at the club, but it would be no surprise to see him stay put this summer.

Tottenham fail with Benjamin Sesko enquiry

Manchester United have made it clear that Benjamin Sesko is not for sale despite interest from Tottenham.

According to TEAMtalk, Spurs, Bayern Munich and Barcelona have all made enquiries about the 23-year-old, but United have no intention of entertaining offers for their striker.

Sesko is also understood to be happy at Old Trafford and remains fully committed to the club, with United viewing him as a key part of Michael Carrick’s long-term plans.

Nottingham Forest rule out Morgan Gibbs-White sale

Nottingham Forest have no plans to sell Morgan Gibbs-White this summer despite growing interest from several top clubs.

According to Football Insider, Bayern Munich are the latest side to register interest in the 26-year-old, while Arsenal have also been monitoring his situation.

Forest are under no pressure to sell Gibbs-White after already agreeing the big-money departure of Elliot Anderson, and the club want to keep their attacking midfielder for the new season.

The England international has two years remaining on his contract, with Oliver Glasner keen for him to remain a key part of Forest’s plans as they look to push back up the Premier League table.
