Nottingham Forest’s Murillo has revealed that he will snub transfer interest this summer in favour of remaining at the City Ground.

The defender has been linked with Chelsea, Tottenham and a host of other top European clubs in recent months, but the Brazilian has now told The Telegraph that he has no intention of departing.

He said: “I need regular game-time and really feel that with Forest I’m in the best place for my career. Staying here for another season will enable me to mature as a player and eventually become better prepared if the chance ever comes to play at another level one day.

“Of course, I want to eventually play in the Champions League. When I was growing up I’d play video games and play with all those teams. Whenever I hear that classic music before the games it moves me, and it would be a dream to play in that competition. But I’ve been focusing on my work here 100 per cent and I just want to do my best. Forest is a massive club in its own right and I feel good here.”

Ange Postecoglou failed to hide that Tottenham were closing in on a deal to sign Yang Min-hyuk in a recent press conference.

Spurs are closing in on a deal to sign the South Korean star from K-League outfit Gangwon FC, with the forward expected to be announced as a Tottenham player next week. Min-hyuk will then return to Gangwon FC on loan until January.

Asked about the forward, he said: “I'm well aware of the quality of the K League. When I was at Celtic we were looking to bring over a couple of Korean players.

“They have made a fantastic impact across Europe, none bigger than our Sonny. He's an outstanding individual. So yes, we'll be looking far and wide for players. As you said, it's difficult for me to discuss.” The Aussie then cracked a grin before fielding further questions about South Korean signings.

Harry Maguire has revealed that he believes he will remain at Manchester United next season.

The centre-back has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford since the transfer window opened, but the England international has insisted that he has not been told to prepare for an exit.

He told Sky Sports: “To be honest, everything I’ve heard is that I’m part of the future here at Manchester United. I’m ready to fight for the biggest trophies.”

Newcastle are reportedly set to pursue Manchester City forward Oscar Bobb.

The winger featured scarcely for Pep Guardiola’s side last season and the Magpies are keen to pounce upon his lack of opportunities, in the same way that Chelsea signed Cole Palmer last summer.

According to GiveMeSport, Newcastle are keen to offer Bobb a ‘route out of the Etihad Stadium’, with Borussia Dortmund also monitoring his situation closely.

The Magpies are keen to understand whether signing the Norway international is possible, with City hoping that the promise of more minutes next season will convince Bobb to reject any approaches over the coming weeks.

Manchester United are reportedly exploring the possibility of striking a swap deal to sign long-term target Denzel Dumfries.

The Red Devils are keen to sign a right-back this summer, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka set to depart to pave the way for a new arrival.

The Athletic report that Wan-Bissaka is keen to join Inter this summer or in 2025 when he becomes a free agent upon his contract expiry, prompting conversations about whether he could be used as a makeweight in a deal for a replacement.

Dumfries has been targeted by United previously and intermediaries have since discussed whether a swap deal was possible, though those talks are not advanced at this stage.
