Manchester United have already moved to sign Atalanta midfielder Ederson, with that deal expected to be confirmed in the not-too-distant future. They won't stop there in their pursuit of midfield reinforcements, though, as Michael Carrick looks to shape his squad for the campaign ahead.
United have also been linked with a move for Sandro Tonali, but Tottenham appear to have moved into pole position for the Newcastle playmaker. The north Londoners saw an £80m bid rejected over the weekend and could soon return to the table with an improved offer. Liverpool, meanwhile, are still pushing to sign RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, who is reportedly valued at £87m.

Ayyoub Bouaddi to Liverpool?
Liverpool have had multiple meetings with standout World Cup star Ayyoub Bouaddi, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer insider insists the Reds are a club to keep an eye on as multiple teams position themselves to try and sign the Morocco midfielder.
Bouaddi plays for Lille at club level and the 18-year-old will command a big fee of over £70million.
Romano said: "It depends on price, it depends on what Lille want to do but Liverpool have been scouting the player for a long time, it has been almost one year monitoring the player closely.
"Let's see if they enter this one. I think it could be interesting, not just for Liverpool but for other clubs."

Spurs eye free agent
Martin Dubravka is a strong contender to join Tottenham as their new back-up goalkeeper, according to reports.
The 37-year-old is a free agent after leaving Burnley.
And he could become Antonin Kinsky's No.2 with Guglielmo Vicario possibly set to leave this summer.
Chelsea name Liam Delap asking price
Chelsea would be open to selling Liam Delap for around £40m this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The striker joined the Blues from Ipswich Town a year ago in a deal worth approximately £30m.
Newcastle and Everton have been linked with a potential move for Delap between now and the start of next season.

Brighton set to sign Michael Svoboda
