It comes after news emerged that Barcelona are tracking Rodri's situation and would view his signing as a great market opportunity.

Liverpool considering joining race for Arsenal target
Liverpool are reportedly considering joining the race for Ezri Konsa.
The Reds are in desperate need of defensive additions, specifically in the centre-back department.

Barcelona enter race for Rodri as Man City future hangs in balance
Barcelona have reportedly entered the race for Rodri.
As per The Athletic, the La Liga outfit are exploring the possibility of making a deal happen this summer.
Rodri has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, with the Manchester City ace boasting just one year left on his deal.
It's claimed Barcelona have held talks with the players camp, with Rodri understood to be interested in the move.
Personal terms might not present a problem, but agreeing a fee with City could prove difficult.
Tottenham agree to Cristian Romero sale
Tottenham have reportedly agreed to let Cristian Romero leave this summer.
The defender has been linked with an exit, and Inter Milan have emerged as the most likely destination.
Romero, who won the World Cup with Argentina in 2022, signed a contract extension with Spurs last summer.
However, it's been claimed by The Times that the 28-year-old would be allowed to leave by Spurs.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid have also registered an interest in the Argentine.
Man Utd earmark Giorgio Scalvini as potential signing
Manchester United have reportedly earmarked Giorgio Scalvini as a potential signing this summer.
Scalvini has been plying his trade with Atalanta in Italy, but could be on the move this summer.
The young defender is highly regarded and could be available for around £32m, with Atalanta having missed out on Champions League football.
Michael Carrick is said to be pushing for defensive reinforcements, having already signed two midfielders during the current window.
Andrey Santos joined from Chelsea, while Youri Tielemans swapped Aston Villa for the Old Trafford outfit.
United had been linked with a move for Alex Scott, who was subject to a £64m bid from Chelsea earlier this summer.
Vinicius Junior expected to stay in Real Madrid amid Arsenal interest
Vinicius Junior will reportedly remain in the Spanish capital this summer.
The winger has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, having entered the final year of his contract.
However, Vini Jr and his camp held fresh talks with Real Madrid this week, with the expectation being that an extension is around the corner.
New Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has personally pushed for the forward to be handed a new contract.
Arsenal had been hoping to pounce, should an opportunity present itself.
However, it looks like that ship might've sailed, with Sky Sports reporting an extension remains the most likely outcome.
