Tottenham are said to be likely to move on from interim boss Igor Tudor as relegation pressure continues to mount. Spurs are in deep trouble, currently just one point above the relegation zone and with West Ham below them facing bottom club Wolves next up.

Tudor has been unable to turn things around in his short time in charge, with the Spurs players failing to respond, although in Tudor’s defence, they have failed to respond to the last two full-time managers, with the exception of the Europa League campaign last season.

But that won’t matter as Spurs try anything to get a reaction out of the players, with survival the only thing that matters at this stage. According to John Wenham, Tudor is on the brink of getting the sack, with personal issues leading to a delay in the decision from Tottenham.

He told Tottenham News: “Tottenham are dealing with it appropriately and delicately, and it’s not about sacking somebody in the week of their father having their funeral and the sad loss and grief that he’ll be going through.

"It does seem like, from the media reports, that one, Tudor is definitely going to be relieved of his duties, and secondly, it’s likely to happen on Monday, thus giving two clear weeks until we play that fixture at Sunderland, which would give a new manager time to come in and work with the players."

Dyche responds

Speaking to talkSPORT, former Everton and Nottingham Forest boss Sean Dyche, who has been linked with the Spurs boss, said: “When you’re a manager you know you’re going to get asked these questions at some point.

"When you get asked them you try to be respectful. Tottenham are a brilliant club and a massive club, so when you say ‘I’m flattered’ everyone then goes ‘he hasn’t said no!’”
