The four potential teams we could face in the UEFA Champions League last 16 have now discovered their knockout phase play-off opponent following the draw on Friday.

Juventus have been drawn Galatasaray whilst Atletico Madrid will face Club Brugge over two legs on 16-18 and 23-25 February.

After finishing 13th and 14th respectively, Juventus and Atletico are the seeded pair and will have the home advantage in the second leg.

The play-off round draw also determined which pathway (silver/blue) these teams are now on, so with Galatasaray and Juventus drawn first they are on the silver side and Club Brugge and Atletico Madrid the blue.

The winners of the two play-off round matches will then progress to the round of 16 knowing they will face either us or Liverpool at that stage.

Whilst this draw doesn't impact us just yet, the next key date from a Spurs perspective is Friday 27 February when the round of 16, quarter-final and semi-final draws take place to determine our opponent and pathway, before the last-16 ties take place across 10-11 and 17-18 March.
