In a recent post on X, respected journalist Fabrizio Romano offered an update on Tottenham Hotspur and their pursuit of Manchester City winger Savinho. It is understood that Spurs are progressing well with their negotiations with the Mancunian club over a potential move for the Brazilian wide player this summer.

Savinho’s Up-And-Down Season In English Football

The 22-year-old managed to catch the eye at times with his performances for Man City in the final third. However, Savinho struggled to make himself a regular starter at the Etihad Stadium last season. The Brazilian talent scored four goals and secured three assists in 36 matches for Man City in the previous campaign in all competitions.

Savinho is currently among the most talented wingers in the Premier League. Thus, Spurs would do well to bring him on board this off-season.

His current contract at the Mancunian club will expire in the summer of 2031. Hence, Tottenham would have to make a convincing offer if they want to lure him to North London later this year.

Will Savinho Be A Good Signing For Tottenham Hotspur Boss Roberto De Zerbi?

Savinho is a good dribbler with the ball and can make some dangerous runs with it out in the wide positions. He has got the eye to create the odd chance for his teammates in the final third and can shoot the ball with power from long range.

The Brazilian sensation can chip in by scoring and creating a handful of important goals for his side. Savinho is primarily a left-winger but can also operate as a right-sided wide player or as an attacking midfielder if asked to do so. He has already got some valuable experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Tottenham.

Savinho would inject more firepower into Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi’s attack. He is more than capable of nailing down a regular first-team spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season.

At 22, the future looks quite promising for Savinho as long as he continues to improve with each year. Therefore, he would be a great signing for De Zerbi to pull off in this transfer period. He might even help Spurs get back to challenging for European football in the Premier League in the coming seasons.
