This will be the 25-year-old's first taste of the major international tournament having being named in Ronald Koeman's 26-player squad going to the United States, Canada and Mexico this summer.

The centre-back made his national team debut against France in October, 2023 and has earned all 19 of his caps as a Spurs player, scoring his first international goal in an 8-0 win over Malta during qualifying in June, 2025.

Micky - who made 45 appearances in all competitions, won our OSC Goal of the Season and played the most minutes for us in 2025/26 - is heading to his second successive major event having featured for his nation on their run to the semi-finals at the 2024 European Championships.

The Netherlands have been drawn in Group F alongside Lucas Bergvall's Sweden, Japan and Tunisia. Their opener is against Japan in the AT&T Stadium, Texas, USA on Sunday 14 June at 9pm (UK).

Prior to that, they face warm-up friendlies against Algeria in Rotterdam, Holland on 3 June before travelling to North America to face Uzbekistan in New York City five days later.

Congratulations, Micky!
