The summer arrival from Brighton has enjoyed a fine start to life in Lilywhite, and that is showing in the statistics, no more than on Saturday afternoon as he completed a record-breaking 143 passes in our 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Continuing his run of playing every minute for us this season as we hosted the Eagles at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the defender eclipsed Cristian Romero's record of 141 passes completed in a game - a record that was also made against Palace - by completing two more passes against the south London side as we made it three wins on the spin in the top flight.

To put it further into context, while JP completed 143 passes, the 10 men of Palace completed a combined total of 151 across the 90 minutes.

The defender, who was named your Player of the Match after the game, also bagged his second goal of the season in the game - making him our top scorer in the competition this term.

Micky van de Ven also set a new record for himself in terms of passes completed in a Premier League game, recording 123 in the games - that is the fifth highest for a Spurs player since records began in the 2003/04 season.

The game also saw us break our all-time passing record for a Premier League game as we completed 759 in the game, trumping the previous record of 747 we set at Cardiff in January, 2019.
