Joao Palhinha needs your help if he is to be named the Premier League's Player of Matchweek Two!

A new initiative by the Premier League this season, each week, eight players across the competition are shortlisted for the title following their performances in the matchweek.

Last week, Richarlison took the inaugural prize thanks to your votes - and this week, we can make it back-to-back victories with Joao now nominated.

In matchweek two, the midfielder was imperious. Making his full league debut for us as we headed to Manchester City, the Portugal international dominated proceedings at the Etihad, always there to mop up at the back, cutting out passes and making vital tackles, while he also popped up at the other end to bag his first goal for the Club as we ran out 2-0 winners.

In scoring at the Etihad, Joao further extended our record as the top flight side with the most different goalscorers (177) while he also bagged our 850th goal on the road in the Premier League.

For the title, the midfielder is up against seven other players - Burnley's Jaidon Anthony, Chelsea' Joao Pedro, Liverpool's Rio Ngumoha, Everton's Jack Grealish, Brentford's Dango Ouattara and Arsenal duo Jurrien Timber and Viktor Gyokeres.

To be named Player of Matchweek Two, Joao is relying on your help as it is fans votes which decide this one - the link to vote is below...
