Tottenham will be hoping to get their first win of their 2024/25 Premier League campaign this weekend, as they welcome Everton to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

After a strong start in their opening game against Leicester City, Spurs eventually had to settle for a 1-1 draw after a topsy turvy second-half display, with Ange Postecoglu's men guilty of missing several changes in the first 45 minutes. Ahead of the first Premier League home game of the season, Spurs are likely to name a similar lineup, albeit without midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur, who sustained a horrible head injury at the King Power Stadium.

Can Tottenham get off to a winning start in the Premier League? Let's take a look.

We simulated Tottenham vs Everton to get a score prediction

To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 24 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions, however as we're still using EA FC 24, the kits and squad numbers may not be accurate.

We predict that Spurs could line up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their starting XI as follows: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Sarr, Gray, Maddison; Son, Solanke, Kulusevski.

We predict that Everton could set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: Pickford; Holgate, Keane, Tarkowski, Mykolenko; Gueye, Iroegbunam; Harrison, Doucoure, McNeil; Calvert-Lewin.

Just like in their previous game, Tottenham had a superb start to this game, with the home side dominating possession and creating several good chances. They eventually made the breakthrough on the 20-minute mark, with James Maddison creating a yard for himself just inside the area, before bending a shot into the far corner.

But once again Spurs were unable to add to their lead before half-time, despite being well on top, and once again, their opposition were able to grab an equaliser shortly after the break, with Calvert-Lewin scoring a tap-in after a smart cutback from Dwight McNeil. This time, however, Tottenham reacted well to the away side's goal and made it 2-1 15 minutes before the end.

After a neat passing move, the ball eventually fell to the feet of Son Heung-min. But the defender got a toe to the ball and it ended up bobbling between the two players, but Son took the initiative with a clever toe-poke through the defender's legs which flew into the near post from close range.

EA FC 24 predicts a Tottenham home win this weekend, but only just, with Spurs guilty of missing chances when dominating the game once again.
