Thomas Frank has started his new job as the manager of Tottenham Hotspur.
Thomas Frank has replaced Ange Postecoglou after the Australian was sacked a fortnight ago, and he’s wasted no time in getting to work at Spurs.
Frank has already done his first interview as the Tottenham boss, and now he’s preparing ahead of what should be a big season for Spurs.
Bryan Mbeumo has already been identified as a transfer target, while back at Hotspur Way, Frank has been making quite the impression already.
According to Alasdair Gold, speaking on the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast, everyone at Tottenham has been highly impressed by Frank as well.
Thomas Frank’s first impression at Tottenham
Gold shared what he’s been hearing from his Tottenham sources about Frank.
The journalist says that everyone who has met Frank so far has been very impressed so far, claiming that he’s a very detailed manager who is a good character too.
“From what I understand, everyone that has met him at Hotspur Way during his first few days there this week has been highly impressed. He’s been everything they expected him to be so far, really good guy, a very detailed guy as well, I guess he’s stepping into a huge organisation compared to what he’s come from,” Gold said.
Tottenham managers’ first impressions
Thomas Frank has made a great first impression at Tottenham, but, sadly, in football, first impressions don’t count for all that much.
Indeed, we’ve been here before with Tottenham managers.
Ange Postecoglou impressed his squad when he first arrived at Spurs, and he went on a fairytale run to start the 2023/24 season as Spurs were top of the league after 10 games.
However, after two seasons, Postecoglou was then sacked.
Antonio Conte also made a great first impression at Spurs, but, again, it was a similar story in that after 18 months in the job, Conte was shown the door.
Frank has seemingly got off to a great start as the Tottenham manager, impressing many within Spurs, but that needs to be backed up on the pitch if he’s going to succeed in north London.
