The rivalry between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur is as fierce as ever, but right now there is a huge gulf in class between the two sides.
Arsenal are top of the Premier League table and are also preparing for a Champions League final against PSG. Tottenham, meanwhile, are sitting 17th in the table and are still nervously looking over their shoulder in the relegation battle.
Despite that enormous difference, Spurs supporters continue trying to mock Arsenal in any way they can.
One argument Tottenham fans constantly repeat is that Mikel Arteta’s side are only successful because of set-pieces. That looks silly now.
True or false: Amad Diallo is right, Arsenal are too reliant on set-pieces…
Key stat proves what Tottenham fans say about Arsenal is absolute nonsense
There is no doubt Arsenal have become one of the best teams in Europe from set-pieces under Nicolas Jover.
The Gunners are incredibly dangerous from corners and dead-ball situations, and that has played a huge role in their success this season.
However, Tottenham supporters acting like Arsenal are only winning because of corners is genuinely ridiculous.

A key statistic completely destroys that argument.
Both Arsenal and Tottenham have scored the exact same number of goals from corners in the Premier League this season – 17.
If winning games through set-pieces was all it took to challenge for the title, Spurs should be right alongside Arsenal near the top of the table.
Instead, Arsenal are leading the Premier League while Tottenham are sitting 17th and just two points above the relegation zone.
That alone proves how foolish the argument really is.
Arsenal are top because they are one of the best teams in Europe both in and out of possession, not because they score goals from corners.
👀 Fill in the blank: Arsenal are taking _ points from the final two Premier League matches…
Tottenham fans should actually be thanking Arsenal right now
Ironically, Arsenal may have just done Tottenham a huge favour.
The Gunners beat West Ham United 1-0 in dramatic fashion over the weekend thanks to Leandro Trossard’s late winner.
The Irons are the team battling Spurs near the bottom of the table. Because Arsenal beat them, Tottenham leapfrogged the Hammers and improved their own chances of survival.
So, instead of mocking Arsenal, Spurs fans should probably be thanking their North London Derby rivals for helping them edge further away from relegation danger.
However, despite Arteta’s helping hand, Tottenham are more than capable of messing things up in the final two games and going down.
