Xavi Simons has claimed our Goal of the Month award for December after opening his Spurs account in style with a stunning solo effort against Brentford in the Premier League.
The creative midfielder had a hand in both goals having first squared for Richarlison's opener on 25 minutes and then slotting home his first goal for the Club two minutes shy of the break in our 2-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 6 December.
After losing possession just inside our half, the Dutch international quickly won it back off Sepp van den Berg and drove into the box from midfield to leave the recovering Yehor Yarmoliuk in his wake before firing a precise finish into the bottom left corner.
It capped a superb all-round display from our number seven who inspired us to a key win over Thomas Frank's former side and then he backed it up with a first UEFA Champions League goal in our colours against Slavia Prague three days later.
