Tottenham Hotspur now look set to be on a level playing field compared to Manchester United ahead of a potential Europa League final.

Spurs and United are overwhelming favourites to both reach the Europa League final from their current positions in their respective semi-final ties.

The Premier League match between Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur has been given a new date of Friday 16 May, kicking off at 19:30 BST.

This is following a request from Spurs in view of their potential participation in the UEFA Europa League final on Wednesday 21 May.

Aston Villa’s match against Tottenham Hotspur has been moved to Friday, May 16 following discussions with the Premier League.

The game had originally been scheduled for Sunday May 18.
