Will Lankshear was in the headlines for Tottenham once again on Wednesday after netting the crucial goal in their 4-3 win over Team K League. Leading 3-0 at the break at Seoul World Cup Stadium following Dejan Kulusevski's opener and Son Heung-min's double, Spurs were given a scare immediately after the restart as Stanislav Iljutcenko hit two goals in quick succession.

Amid the real possibility of throwing away a three-goal lead, Tottenham added a fourth of the evening through Lankshear. The academy ace was in the right place to convert Timo Werner's inviting cross from the left from close range and crucially give his side a bit of a cushion once again.

It was Lankshear at his best as he sensed an opportunity and found himself in space in the area following some clever moment. The youngster certainly enjoyed his moment and immediately went over to Werner for putting the ball on a plate for him.

Lankshear actually wasn't too far off adding a second goal of the game not long after as he curled an attempt narrowly wide of the target. Making his mark against Hearts earlier in the month, the frontman has made a real impression on Postecoglou and he appears to have changed his thinking in the process.

Competing with fellow youngsters Dane Scarlett and Alejo Veliz for minutes off the bench, the 19-year-old has been preferred to both of his teammates in all four friendlies so far this summer. Lankshear has always been the first substitute out of the trio to be introduced, with Scarlett and Veliz not even getting any pitch time in the last two games against Vissel Kobe and Team K League.

Previously looking like Lankshear was behind his competitors in the Tottenham pecking order having never made a senior appearance under Postecoglou, it does look like he has now leapfrogged the duo in the head coach's mind going on his team selections so far. That in turn does raise question marks over what comes next for the striker who hit 32 goals for the club's youngsters in the 2023/24 campaign.

football.london have reported in recent months that a long list of clubs in the Championship and across Europe are keen on a loan move for Lankshear for the upcoming season. It's not hard to see why there is so much interest in the Welwyn Garden City-born player due to his prolific form in front of goal.

Amid question marks over what exactly comes next for Scarlett and Veliz with potential loan moves also likely, there probably is a case for keeping Lankshear at Tottenham for the time being rather than giving him the green light to exit on loan. After all, he scores goals and there could well be opportunities there in the first-team squad with Spurs still yet to sign a new striker this summer and also the increase in fixtures next season due to their return to Europe.

It already appeared after the Vissel Kobe game that Lankshear had moved past Scarlett and Veliz following their failure to appear from the bench, and the striker's goal against Team K League strengthens that argument even further. If Lankshear does indeed feature in the two upcoming fixtures against Bayern Munich and also finds the net again in the process, it may be an absolute no-brainer in regards to what comes next for the player with the 2024/25 season quickly approaching.

Tottenham dream attack after £86m transfer completed

Description

Tottenham have brought in four new signings this summer, albeit one was signed in February for the summer and one has been signed this summer for a January 2025 arrival.

Supporters in N17 are hoping - and expecting - there to be more newcomers through the door before the August 30 deadline. And Spurs have been linked with plenty of different names.

The midfield has been strengthened by the arrivals of Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray, with the defence somewhat reinforced by Gray's ability to play at right-back. You could say that the forward line has been improved, but you can also argue against that.

Timo Werner has signed a season-long loan deal, but he already spent the second half of last season with Tottenham, so there is little difference, while Yang Min-Hyeok will not arrive until midway through this season.

The forward line is where Spurs need options the most. Richarlison spent periods last season out injured and while captain Son Heung-min deputised as the central striker, he is better suited off the wing.

The side is crying out for a striker, but they are hard to come by and when you do come across them, they do not come cheap either. Spurs have been linked with plenty in the summer so far.

Ivan Toney was heavily tipped to make a move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but those within Spurs have distanced themselves with a move for the Brentford striker who has just one year left on his contract in west London.

football.london understands that Tottenham have compiled a shortlist of forwards who fit their profile of signing players for the present and long-term and therefore are at the most aged in their mid-twenties or younger.

Jonathan David is on that list having netted 26 goals in 47 matches last season for Lille, with a similar output the year before. He also has a year left on his contract and could come at a reduced price.

Lois Openda is another who is on the list after scoring 28 goals in 45 matches in the Bundesliga and Champions League for RB Leipzig last season. He has a £68million release clause, making him an expensive option.

The same can be said for Viktor Gyokeres, who plundered an astonishing 43 goals in 50 matches for Sporting CP last year. He has a release clause of £86milion, making him even more expensive, but there are reports that Sporting are willing to accept a lower offer.

Gyokeres would be the dream signing and he would fit right in at Spurs too, having come through the same Brommapojkarna academy as Dejan Kulusevski and new signing Lucas Bergvall.

Kulusevski said this week: "There are a lot of Swedish fans who love Spurs, then, when I came, there was even more interest, and now Lucas is here as well, I think it will be a completely different thing for him. Two good young players - I think Spurs is going to be Sweden’s favourite team!"

And he fits perfectly into Spurs' team. If Gyokeres were to sign, he would play through the middle, challenging for the starting spot with Richarlison, giving Spurs two excellent options up front.

Around him would be Son Heung-min off the right, with Kulusevski off the right. If Kulusevski is to be utilised in a more central No.10 role - his favoured position - Brennan Johnson would play on the right hand side, meaning James Maddison would be left on the bench.

The bench would also be filled with attacking talent, with Werner another option.

Dream Tottenham attack: Son, Gyokeres, Kulusevski.

Angry Postecoglou message explained, Skipp scare

Tottenham's winning run in pre-season continued on Wednesday as Ange Postecoglou's side defeated Team K League 4-3 in South Korea. Mixing things up in regards to his starting XI as Archie Gray came into midfield and fellow new arrival Lucas Bergvall was handed a start, the head coach was only without Ashley Phillips, Destiny Udogie and Richarlison for the game.

Opening the scoring through Dejan Kulusevski midway inside the first half, Spurs then doubled their tally as Son Heung-min scored a sublime goal in his home country seven minutes before the break. The two goalscorers then combined in first-half stoppage time as the Tottenham captain coolly doubled his tally and added the team's third goal with a well-taken finish.

Tottenham appeared to be in cruise control but Stanislav Iljutcenko gave them a scare with two close-range goals in quick succession nine minutes after the restart. It was Spurs who got the next goal of the contest, however, as academy ace Will Lankshear was on hand to tap home from six yards out after Timo Werner fired in a brilliant cross from the left.

Oberdan pulled one back in the 81st minute with a powerful volley from the edge of the box but Postecoglou's men managed to hang on to secure a 4-3 victory. Here are five things we spotted during the game at Seoul World Cup Stadium.

Gray in midfield

It came as no surprise to see Gray take his place in the Tottenham XI once again after delivering some excellent performances in pre-season. A midfielder by trade but displaying at Leeds United that he is also a very good right-back if required, the 18-year-old has so far spent his Tottenham playing time at centre-back.

In Wednesday's game against Team K League, Gray was pushed further upfield and he took his place in midfield for the very first time in a Tottenham shirt. Lining up in the No.6 role with Pape Matar Sarr and Bergvall joining him in the middle of the park, Gray delivered a solid display in a Spurs midfield combination we have yet to see.

Putting himself about and looking to get on the ball, the Durham-born ace even found himself swinging in a cross from the right flank midway inside the first half after some persistent play but unfortunately nobody was there to turn in his inviting cross. Pushed up slightly higher after the break with Oliver Skipp introduced to the fray at half-time, Gray delivered a strong performance in his first outing in Tottenham's midfield.

As we are now edging ever closer to the season, we may start to see a bit more of the starlet there rather than in defence.

Kulusevski experiment continues

Kulusevski's excellent pre-season continued on Wednesday as he got a goal and assist to his name. Influential in the first two friendlies against Hearts and QPR, the Swede played as a striker in last weekend's match against Vissel Kobe and he duly teed up Pedro Porro for the opener.

Son has struggled when in the central role for Tottenham but his teammate has flourished when played there despite having a lack of experience when it comes to leading the line. Kulusevski displayed a striker's instinct for the opener as he was alert and produced some quick feet to find the net after the goalkeeper could only parry Son's effort.

The pair then combined to perfection seconds before the interval as Son found the net in style. The play between the two was very similar to when Kulusevski and Yves Bissouma teamed up at QPR as the Mali international advanced from midfield before scoring.

Kulusevski is oozing confidence at present and hopefully it bodes well for the upcoming league campaign.

Donley's left-back performance

Tottenham youngster Jamie Donley was one of the team's standout players against Team K League in Wednesday's game in South Korea. Given the nod to start at left-back, the academy ace once again delivered another strong pre-season display.

Despite his left-back role, Donley found himself in advanced positions time and time again, with Postecoglou's tactics suiting the player down to the ground as he could come into the central positions and operate from there. Linking up well with Son on occasions in the first half, the 19-year-old did go on to fire a lovely ball across goal but unfortunately nobody was there to convert.

He also teed Pedro Porro up for a chance on goal in the first half, only for the Spaniard to shoot over the bar not long after testing the Team K League shot-stopper. Very good in the opening 45 minutes, Donley had a tough start to the second half with their opponents getting so much joy down Tottenham's left.

Out of position on a couple occasions, which is perhaps no surprise given he is an attack-minded player after all and not a full-back, Team K League took full advantage to whittle down Tottenham's three-goal lead. On the whole, Donley played well in what was another positive display from the Antrim-born player.

The youngster has caught the eye at left-back but it would be nice to see him utilised further forward in the team at times given what he offers in the final third.

Angry Ange

Due to the high temperature at Seoul World Cup Stadium, both sets of players were given time for a drinks break midway inside the first half. A time for the head coach to also say a few words while the team took on some much-needed liquids, Postecoglou pulled no punches with a rather straightforward message to the players.

"I've got one [expletive] thing to say. We are going on the press, man for man. Just go man for man," bellowed the Australian at the top of his voice to his Tottenham team. That seemed to do the trick as four minutes later the team were in front courtesy of Kulusevski.

Postecoglou was asked about the moment in his post-match press conference and he explained all.

He said: "Nothing really specific. It was more just about making sure we kept pressing on, because with the conditions the way they are and the training loads been pretty high, I didn't want us to back off in that moment and really [wanted to] push to half-time just more for our fitness than anything else.

"We thought it was a good opportunity for us to push on and try to be even more aggressive than we had been up to that point."

Skipp scare

Skipp was on the end of a rather nasty challenge in the closing stages and it gave those watching on a bit of a scare. The midfielder was caught high on his knee by Anderson Oliveira as the Team K League player competed for the ball with his counterpart.

Skipp certainly felt the challenge and he had to go down in need of treatment moments later. Receiving the ball from Djed Spence on the halfway line, the academy graduate immediately kicked it out and went to ground so the medical staff could come on and take a look at the injury.

Thankfully, Skipp was in a position to see out the final few minutes of the contest. Postecoglou was asked in his SPURSPLAY interview after the game about the knock the midfielder received but he indicated that "he will be fine" and that "it was just a knock".

Every word Ange Postecoglou said on his angry moment and what Lucas Bergvall needs to improve

What are you overall thoughts on the match tonight?

I thought it was a decent game, obviously with the conditions and you know we've been training pretty hard so we didn't probably look as sharp as we have been, but within that, I thought the players still gave everything and some good passages of play. The game was very open at the end I think, very stretched.

As I said, the conditions were really difficult for the players but they never stopped, they kept trying to play and I think overall we were better for that game.

Today you started Dejan Kulusevski in a more of a number nine position, could we expect him to play more in that role this season?

Well, look it's the beauty of Deki is that he can play a number of positions. I mean, he mainly played on the wing for us last year but also had some games in central areas and I think he's been really good this pre-season. With Richy being injured we don't really have another number nine there and he's done a really good job for us.

He's a clever footballer, you know, he was involved in the goals tonight, apart from scoring and, yeah, he's doing really well and, you know, for us, the fact that he can play two or three positions I think is, is going to be important.

What did you make of the three young midfielders playing together for the first time?

Yeah, I thought it worked ok. Obviously they are three very young players in that midfield set up and as you said, the first time they had played together. But yeah, for the most part I thought they handled it pretty well. I think Lucas found it tough physically. It's a very demanding role in there and it's going to take us a while to get him up to speed from a physical perspective, but you can see the quality he has when he's on the ball.

And Archie, he's what he's shown the whole time. He's been very composed, he seems to understand the game really well and for the most part, I thought he was taking up the right positions. But again, physically I think we're gonna have to build him up. I thought Pape's running is just unbelievable. He's a benchmark for us in that midfield area.

So, yeah, I think the three of them - considering they're so young and that's the exciting bit - if we keep pushing them and improving them, they're going to be very good footballers for us

There was a moment in the first half, in the drinks break, when you seemed to be very vocal on the touchline towards the players and after that they seemed to kind of kick up a notch. What did you say to them?

Nothing really specific. It was more just about making sure we kept pressing on, because with the conditions the way they are and the training loads been pretty high, I didn't want us to back off in that moment and really [wanted to] push to half-time just more for our fitness than anything else. We thought it was a good opportunity for us to push on and try to be even more aggressive than we had been up to that point. you guys signed a big young talent in Korea.

You've signed Yang Min-hyeok and this was the first time that you saw him play live, what did you make of him?

Yeah, look, you know, there's a game of football tonight. I was focused on our players, so I wasn't really following the opposition players. When he comes in, in January, we'll have plenty of time to look at him.

I think what's important now is that we've made the announcement and he concentrates on his club football here in Korea, finishes his season strong. He's had an outstanding season so far and then when he gets to us, he'll have plenty of time and plenty of opportunity to show us what he can do and we'll help him with that process.

You mentioned that towards the end of the game, the team was a bit stretched and that was probably something we saw last season as well. How are you going to prepare for the team in this way for the coming season?

And I don't think you're going to get 11 substitutions in a normal game, so I think it's a little bit different, and as I said, I think from our perspective, I thought the boys worked awfully hard in difficult conditions and not an ideal lead in for them, but that's part of the process is we're trying to make it as difficult for them as we possibly can to get them prepared for the Premier League season.

What did you make of Team K League and their performances in both halves with different teams in each half?

I thought it was a good game. It's difficult obviously, you know, the side in the first half I thought still did well against us but the side coming on in the second half are fresh and they're going to look a lot fresher than our guys who are backing up.

I think for us all these friendly games, the important thing is that they're good exercises for us to keep building our fitness and keep building the way we want to play our football. I thought both the teams today in the first half and second half gave us a good test, gave us a push which I want the players to have and we entertained the crowd. I think both teams.

I think that's important. We had 63,000 people here today, a great atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, we've had people really excited to see us and I think our responsibility is to, to make sure we put on a good game for them and there were some great goals from both teams tonight and I'm sure they enjoyed the night.

Tottenham second half player ratings vs Team K League

Tottenham were involved in a goal-laden 4-3 win against Team K League in Seoul on Wednesday and here are our second half player ratings.

In the first half Dejan Kulusevski had given Tottenham the lead, following up a saved Son Heung-min effort with a good turn and finish. Son then doubled Spurs' score with a trademark run in from the left flank before curling a shot from the edge of the box and then the captain combined with Kulusevski before scoring the north London side's third.

You can find our first half Tottenham player ratings right here. For Team K League, new Spurs signing Yang Min-hyeok impressed in the moments he got the ball during the first half before coming off at the break.

Team K League responded quickly in the second half. They first hit one back as Kulusevski lost the ball, Oliver Skipp was beaten too easily in the middle and Stanislav Iljutcenko tapped in a shot that substitute keeper Brandon Austin could only parry out to him and then the same player headed home a second moments later.

However, substitute Will Lankshear came off the bench to knock home a low Timo Werner cross to restore Spurs' two-goal advantage. Team K League found a third goal through with a lovely volley from Oberdan from outside the Spurs box after Austin had come out and punched the ball his way.

Here are our Tottenham second half player ratings:

Brandon Austin

Difficult one because he made a coupe of really good saves but also conceded three goals. Could only parry a shot into the path of Iljutcenko to score early in the second half and then couldn't do much about his close grange header moments later. Then his punch fell to Oberdan outside the box and he hit a stunning volley back over him. He did make a really good low save from Cesinho soon after. 6

Pedro Porro

A mixed second half as he tired. 5

Ben Davies

Also tired in only his second game of pre-season. 5

Emerson Royal

Lasted the longest of any Spurs player before Dragusin replaced him on 72 minutes. 6

Jamie Donley

Had a tougher second half and will feel he should have done better with a challenge for the second but had Maddison given him the ball at the other end he wouldn't have had to track back so far for the first. 5

Oliver Skipp

Really struggled at times and was beaten to the ball for the first goal and switched to centre-back before taking a nasty kick to the knee. 4

Archie Gray

A solid display in midfield again early in the second half, albeit further up the pitch. 7

James Maddison

Used the ball well at times and hit a late shot against the post. Could have passed the ball to the free Donley in the build-up at the other end before Team K League's first goal which might have prevented the counter-attack. 7

Brennan Johnson

Didn't manage much in the second half time he had. 5

Dejan Kulusevski

Couldn't match his first half efforts in a sluggish start from Spurs and lost the ball for the first Team K League goal, but had done superbly in the first half. 6

Son Heung-min

Same as Kulusevski he saw less of the ball after his sparkling first half before coming off around the hour mark. 6

Subs

Djed Spence

Tried to get forward but not as bright as recent cameos, messing up a late chance to cross in a good position. 6

George Abbott

Solid enough at left-back against the opposition attack. 6

Timo Werner

Does what he is good at, gets down the left and puts in a low cross and grabbed himself an assist. 7

Mikey Moore

Some nice little moments but wasn't able to find the final touch of recent showings. 6

Will Lankshear

Another goal for his collection and he showed good movement to get it. Worked hard and could have had another with a curling shot. Used his strength well repeatedly. 8

Yves Bissouma

Didn't really dominate the midfield as he can or protect the defence. 5

Alfie Devine

Another useful tidy appearance from the bench. 6

Radu Dragusin

Got his first minutes of pre-season in the final 18 minutes or so. 6

hyeok did to Emerson Royal as new Tottenham signing wows in Team K League friendly

Tottenham fans could have been forgiven for having one eye on the team's opponents on Wednesday as Ange Postecoglou's side faced Team K-League in South Korea. Fresh from confirming the signing of Yang Min-hyeok on Sunday, the 18-year-old actually lined up against Spurs as the K League's best players took on the north London club.

Named in the starting XI and wearing the No.47 shirt that he wears for Gangwon FC, the teenager had a real opportunity to make an immediate impression on his new teammates, new coaches and also the club's supporters watching on across the globe. Yang won't link up with Tottenham until January but it is safe to say that fans will now be counting down the days until his arrival in London.

Ahead of the game at Seoul World Cup Stadium, Tottenham captain and fellow countryman Son Heung-min opened up on the new signing when speaking in a pre-match press conference. The pair have already had a chat, with Son offering some words of advice for Yang.

"I mean, I haven't known him for long, but we had a quick chat the other day," revealed Son. "What I've told him is the most important thing for now is to focus on his current club and to give us everything, obviously, he's doing a very promising performance on the pitch.

"It seems like he's training well, he's fit and healthy. But I also told him that, you know, while he's giving everything for his current club, he need to be well prepared for his life in England and in London, but, you know, I'm very excited like the manager said to have him in the club and hopefully he can show some good performance when he joins Tottenham."

Yang did in fact go on to deliver a good performance against Spurs as he came up against his future employers. Quiet in the opening exchanges with very little of the ball going down their left flank, Yang did help win a corner off Pape Matar Sarr on five minutes and he seemed to grow in confidence from then on as he became much more involved.

Linking up well with Lee Seung-woo to play in his teammate, Emerson Royal was on hand to get the better of the Team K-League star and stop Tottenham from being punished. As the half wore on, the Gangwon FC ace really started to turn it on and become a pivotal figure in the game as he caused the Lilywhites a whole host of problems.

Firstly running through the middle but overhitting his pass to the right, he then frightened the Spurs backline as he ran at them at lightning-quick speed after turning Emerson with ease. It was some play from the winger as he left the Brazilian trailing in his wake with a sumptuous turn but again his final pass just had too much on it.

Yang did have an opportunity on goal just past the midway stage of the first half as sped beyond Pedro Porro after sensing an opportunity. Duly played through, the Gwangju-born player created space for himself with a quick swivel of the hips only to then shoot narrowly over Guglielmo Vicario's crossbar.

Team K-League's best play did come via Yang, who was so unlucky to see a pass to his right just catch the foot of Ben Davies when looking to play in his teammate through down the right flank. Again, it was another positive run from Yang as he took the game to Tottenham and attempted to team up with his fellow Team K-League attackers.

Yang would only get 45 minutes to his name against Tottenham as Team K-League made a whole host of changes at the break. However, the first half was all he needed to make a big impression on his future teammates and also the Tottenham fans watching on.

Tottenham have signed some very talented youngsters of late and Yang certainly falls into that category. The next time he's involved in a Tottenham match it will be Postecoglou's team who this time benefit from what he can offer in the final third.

Tottenham took on Team K League in Seoul in their latest pre-season tour game on Wednesday and here are our first half player ratings with Ange Postecoglou's men 3-0 up at the break..

Spurs were playing in 30 degree Celsius temperatures even though it was an 8pm kick-off in South Korea. It was their second pre-season game of the tour to Asia, having beaten Vissel Kobe 3-2 in Tokyo on Saturday.

Dejan Kulusevski gave Tottenham the lead on this occasion, following up a saved Son Heung-min effort with a smart turn and finish. Son then doubled Spurs' tally with a trademark run and curling shot from the edge of the box and then he combined with Kulusevski for the north London side's third.

For Team K League, new Spurs signing Yang Min-hyeok impressed in the moments he got the ball during the first half.

Here are our Tottenham first half player ratings:

Guglielmo Vicario

He didn't have anything to do with a couple of K League efforts off target. 6

Pedro Porro

Had a shot saved by the keeper and was up against Yang, who used the space behind him at times. Worked hard. 7

Ben Davies

Made some good early interceptions in his box. 7

Emerson Royal

Turned by Yang in the opposition half and was left flapping in his wake. Struggled at times to keep pace with K League attack and had to cover for Porro. 6

Jamie Donley

Solid again at left-back without being able to impacting the attacking play as much as he would like. 6

Pape Matar Sarr

Some shaky early moments again and his touch wasn't as good as it can be. 5

Archie Gray

A solid display at the base of the midfield. 7

Lucas Bergvall

Tried to make things happen and hit the bar with a powerful effort. 7

Brennan Johnson

Busy and forced the keeper into a save on the follow-up from Porro's saved shot. 6

Dejan Kulusevski

Looks the sharpest player in the squad with Son and he scored from the skipper's saved shot with a good turn and finish. Then set up Son for yet another assist this pre-season. 9

Son Heung-min

A classic Son curling shot on the run to double Spurs' tally and then played a great one-two with Kulusevski before scoring. He was a threat all half and deserved his two goals. 9

Tottenham receive Pedro Neto transfer green light as Ange Postecoglou priority made clear

Wolves boss Gary O'Neil has admitted that Tottenham transfer target Pedro Neto is free to leave the club if a huge bid arrives. Spurs are just one Premier League club to have been strongly linked to Neto with both Arsenal and Liverpool as long-term admirers.

The 24-year-old has shown glimpses of his undeniable quality in recent years but he has often been plagued by injuries. Neto missed 18 games last season because of two separate hamstring issues, though he was still able to pick up 14 goal contributions.

Wolves' financial issues make a departure for Neto plausible, however those concerns were lessened by Max Kilman's £40million move to West Ham. With that in mind, O'Neil has offered a lengthy admission on Neto where he does not rule out a transfer exit.

“I know how good he is, and I know how well he would do at a big club," He told the E&S podcast. "Obviously I want our team here to be unbelievably successful. So I’m hoping that he stays.

“I think so (there’s a chance he stays). There’s nothing going on at this moment from anybody. He’s in a good spot, I’ve spoke to him about how we’re going to play and how it suits him and what a big part he’ll play in it. But of course, we’re all grown-ups while you’re having them conversations. If a massive bid comes from a top club then no one is going to stand in Pedro’s way.

“I’m confident that he will be here. Because we haven’t had anything really, that makes the club think that he won’t be. But of course, a lot of business can be done late.”

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Spurs are expected to sign one more forward ahead of the 2024/25 season, following on from completing deals for Timo Werner and Archie Gray with Lucas Bergvall officially joining at the start of July.

Jonathan David, Eberechi Eze, Jacob Ramsey and Desire Doue are just a few other options linked with the Lilywhites perhaps hoping to sign at least one of the quartet.

Ange Postecoglou has made a number of changes to his Tottenham starting XI to take on Team K League at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Wednesday.

Spurs are playing their second pre-season friendly of their tour to Asia, having overcome J League side Vissel Kobe 3-2 in Tokyo on Saturday. They are now in skipper Son Heung-min's homeland of South Korea to continue their preparations for the new Premier League season.

Postecoglou's men take on a Team K League side that includes new Tottenham signing Yang Min-hyeok in the starting line-up after the 18-year-old winger agreed a move from Gangwon which will officially go through in January.

The Spurs training session inside the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Tuesday evening showed that Timo Werner is back from illness with Radu Dragusin having joined the squad and now available. Destiny Udogie was back in his first training session since surgery to his left quadriceps back in April but is not ready to take part yet. Richarlison is not yet back from his injury while Ashley Phillips also misses out after feeling sore in training on Monday.

Archie Gray was being used as a midfielder during Tuesday's session, often in the holding role, after his stint as a centre-back and the £40million 18-year-old takes on that role alongside Pape Matar Sarr and fellow summer arrival Lucas Bergvall.

Here is the team Postecoglou has selected: Vicario; Porro, Davies, Royal, Donley; Sarr, Gray, Bergvall; Johnson, Kulusevski, Son. Subs: Austin, Whiteman, Gunter, Skipp, Dragusin, Bissouma, Maddison, Werner, Spence, Solomon, Veliz, Scarlett, Devine, Abbott, Moore, Lankshear, Hall.
