Spurs to seal Iliman Ndiaye transfer after Cody Gakpo snub with Richarlison moving to Everton
Tottenham to seal Iliman Ndiaye transfer after Cody Gakpo snub with Richarlison moving to Everton
Tottenham Hotspur and Everton have reportedly agreed separate deals for Iliman Ndiaye and Richarlison after Cody Gakpo snubbed Spurs before transfer deadline day
Everton and Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly agreed to swap Iliman Ndiaye and Richarlison in separate deals. It is said that both players still need to agree on personal terms with their new clubs and pass medicals examinations.
Ndiaye, 26, appears to be who Spurs are turning to after Cody Gakpo snubbed them for Manchester City, who are apparently in talks with Liverpool over signing the Netherlands international. Richarlison, meanwhile, has asked to leave multiple times, according to Roberto De Zerbi.
It now appears he is heading back to the Blues. Spurs agreed a £60million deal with Everton four years ago.
The Athletic reports that unnamed sources at both Everton and Spurs insist the deals for Ndiaye and Richarlison are entirely unrelated. Spurs forked out £50m, plus £10m in potential add-ons, to the Merseyside club for their Brazilian striker in the summer of 2022.
Roberto De Zerbi acknowledged when asked about Richarlison in his press conference after the club's 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United: "He said too many times that he wants to leave."
The forward was absent from the squad on Saturday. Ndiaye, meanwhile, played the full 90 minutes for Everton in their 1-1 draw with Bournemouth at Dean Court.
He has featured in all three of their competitive games this season. The forward set up Thierno Barry for their second goal against Crystal Palace on the opening weekend.
Ndiaye remains contracted until the summer of 2029, yet has not put pen to paper on a fresh deal since joining from Sheffield United two years ago. He is said to have turned down several renewal offers during the last season.
Richarlison has similarly never committed to a new contract since arriving at Spurs on a five-year deal. His current agreement is due to run out at the end of this campaign.

De Zerbi was quizzed on whether there was any prospect of a return for Richarlison, Kevin Danso, and Pape Matar Sarr during his post-match press conference on Saturday, after acknowledging that all three had requested a departure.
He said: "I love these players, they are great guys, I have very good relationships, but if they want to leave, they have to bring the solution, the economic solution, to the club, and they can go, and we find other players."
Spurs' head coach declined about their forthcoming transfer business, saying: "No, we speak about the game today, it's not the right moment and the right day, otherwise it's like an excuse, no, I don't want excuses."
Tottenham eye double transfer swoop for Man City duo in Roberto De Zerbi 'bomba' plans
Roberto De Zerbi is still looking for fresh faces for his first-team despite a summer of big spending at Tottenham Hotspur, with a Manchester United double swoop in the works
Tottenham Hotspur are in the market for Savinho and Omar Marmoush to cap off a summer of big spending. It's been a window to remember for Spurs fans, who have already seen a number of high-profile acquisitions.
Sandro Tonali arrived in a £100million move from Newcastle United, while Mateus Fernandes landed in an £85m deal with West Ham United. Jan Paul van Hecke was also snapped up for £52m from Brighton and Hove Albion.
That's not to mention the arrivals of Marco Senesi, Andy Robertson and Martin Dubravka as free agents. However, it appears as though the executives in north London are far from finished.
In a bid to avoid a repeat of last season's disappointing 17th-place finish, Spurs have practically undergone a complete first-team overhaul of their defence and midfield.
And now, it appears as though the front line is also set for marked improvement - with Savinho and Marmoush highlighted as potential arrivals.
According to the Athletic, discussions between the Lilywhites and Manchester City are progressing, with the aim of completing a double transfer to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before next month's deadline.
Savinho has apparently been considered expendable at the Etihad Stadium, omitted from Enzo Maresca's matchday squad during last weekend's 3-0 Community Shield defeat to Arsenal.

Spurs were understood to be keen on securing the Brazilian winger 12 months ago, with a price tag of approximately £43million being discussed.
However, City ultimately refused to part with Savinho, instead tying him down to a new deal running until 2031 as the window drew to a close.
Marmoush has similarly found his future in Greater Manchester the subject of speculation due to restricted playing opportunities.
The Egyptian striker spent considerable portions of last season as understudy to Erling Haaland, and may view a fresh challenge as a route to more regular action.
This follows De Zerbi's comments from late last month hinting that another transfer "bomba" is imminent, having already splashed well over £200m on fresh recruits.
The Italian manager told football.london: "In the transfer market when I want one player I become like a shark, no chance to say no.
"The transfer market, it's not finished for sure, but we completed 60% of our project in the transfer market. Now we have another bomba."
Whether that "bomba" materialises in the shape of Savinho and Marmoush is yet to be determined. Though, it's evident that Spurs haven't concluded their summer dealings, with ambitions of re-establishing themselves as genuine Premier League challengers once more this coming campaign.
England star Djed Spence completes Tottenham exit after shining at World Cup
Djed Spence was England's surprise package at the World Cup, producing a string of impressive performances both as a starter and from the bench, but Tottenham have sold him to Inter Milan
Tottenham have confirmed that Djed Spence has completed a permanent move to Inter Milan. Spence, 26, has joined the Italian giants in a deal worth €30million (£26m) weeks after his standout performances for England at the World Cup.
The full-back, who can play on both sides of defence, has signed a five-year contract with Inter and links up with international team-mate John Stones at San Siro. Spence featured in all eight of England's games at the World Cup, helping Thomas Tuchel's side finish third.
It came off the back of a difficult campaign at Tottenham, who he joined from Middlesbrough in 2022 for an initial £12.5m. Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi wanted to keep him at the club but Spence has opted to leave.
The ex-Nottingham Forest star made a total of 59 appearances for Tottenham and helped them win the Europa League in 2025 under Ange Postecoglou, beating Manchester United in the final in Bilbao. Spence's departure comes after first-choice right-back Pedro Porro signed a new deal in June, while left-back Andy Robertson has arrived from Liverpool.

In a farewell message to their supporters, the 26-year-old wrote: "A special chapter comes to an end, It's been some journey, with plenty of memories, moments and experiences that I'll carry with me for forever, especially that night in Bilbao.
"Thanks to all the staff members who've helped me along the way, the players who've become family and most importantly thank you to the fans. Time for a new chapter now, but Spurs will always have a place in my heart."
Spence joined Cristian Romero in leaving Spurs on Saturday. The centre-back, who was club captain, joined Atletico Madrid for £34m.

De Zerbi is yet to name his replacement ahead of Tottenham's first game of the season next Saturday. Spurs travel to Brentford for a 5:30pm kick-off.
Having failed to qualify for Europe, Tottenham will host Charlton in the second round of the Carabao Cup the following Wednesday. Their first home game is a clash with Newcastle.
Former Premier League star punished under new rule days after completing £20m transfer
Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Will Lankshear starred for Middlesbrough in their win over Wrexham in the Carabao Cup
Middlesbrough star Will Lankshear became the first player to be punished under a new rule which is being imposed by the English Football League (EFL) this season. Lankshear was in action for Boro as he and his teammates faced Wrexham in the first round of the Carabao Cup on Friday night.
The 21-year-old scored the only goal of the game as Boro claimed a 1-0 victory at the Riverside to secure their spot in the second round of the competition.
However, Lankshear’s evening ended on a bizarre note as he was penalised after being substituted in the closing minutes.
Boro boss Kim Hellberg opted to replace Lankshear with Fin Cartwright, and went on to applaud the home fans as he made his way off the pitch.
Lankshear’s exit was deemed to have taken longer than the 10 seconds, which will now be in place in the EFL this season, which has been introduced to stop time-wasting.
As a result of the violation, Lankshear’s replacement, Cartwright, was forced to wait on the touchline for a whole minute before being allowed onto the pitch.
Lankshear only joined Boro last month, signing for the club on a permanent deal worth around £10million, plus a further £10million in add-ons.
The striker spent last season on loan at Oxford United and has now embarked on a new challenge at Boro on a permanent basis, where he will be hoping to help the Teesside club have a promotion push.

Hellberg was full of praise for Lankshear after the striker’s debut for the club, where he tipped the former Tottenham star to have a bright future.
“He did a very strong season at Oxford in a different system and different way of playing, which I think he will have learned a lot from,” Hellberg said, via Teesside Live.
“You could see how active he was [against Wrexham], both offensively and defensively, which I think was a major step forward from last week [against Espanyol].
“He has been with us for around two weeks and he will just keep on improving. He wants to learn and improve, and that’s the type of player I love working with.”
